What happens when partisanship is pushed to its extreme? In With Ballots and Bullets, Nathan P. Kalmoe combines historical and political science approaches to provide new insight into the American Civil War and deepen contemporary understandings of mass partisanship. The book reveals the fundamental role of partisanship in shaping the dynamics and legacies of the Civil War, drawing on an original analysis of newspapers and geo-coded data on voting returns and soldier enlistments, as well as retrospective surveys. Kalmoe shows that partisan identities motivated mass violence by ordinary citizens, not extremists, when activated by leaders and legitimated by the state.
REVIEW
'Vote as you shot,' Republican politicos urged Union soldiers and veterans during and after the Civil War. And they did, as Nathan Kalmoe demonstrates with new data and innovative methodology in this important book. Republicans mobilized ballots as well as bullets against Northern as well as Southern Democrats in a war characterized by violent partisan conflict on both the home front and battle front.' James M. The right-wing news outlet Newsmax on Monday broadcast a lengthy statement to "clarify" false and baseless claims made on its platform about two vote-processing companies, Smartmatic and Dominion Voting Systems, and the 2020 election.
"Newsmax would like to clarify its news coverage and note that it has not reported as true certain claims made about these companies," John Tabacco said on the network.

Spurious and irrelevant though the question of 'who won more counties?' may be, we can at least try to use accurate numbers. Biden won 538, Trump won 2,574. When we look at states (and the District of Columbia) we find that Biden won 26, Trump won 25 (source for both).
None of that has any bearing on the outcome, since the president of the US is chosen via Electoral College votes. In that arena Biden won a solid victory. Trump won the same number of electoral votes in 2016 and called it 'a landslide.'
Sad puppies will get their vicarious thrills from Giuliani jerking off in courtrooms and over the internet. That says more about them than it does about the results of the election.
I think it would be the height of arrogance to think I knew more about it than Rudy Giuliani.
And yet you have enough arrogance to think you know more about it than the dozens of judges who have tossed Giuliani's nonsense out of court. You're so biased, Cunt.

They tossed it out without ever having to hear the evidence.
It reminds me of a 'phaser attack' threat to a judge, made by an Alberta kook, trying desperately to get a matter before the court, so it could be acknowledged. (Silverberg)
They did charge him, but tossed it before they had to go through the awkward step of hearing his evidence.
Shit, Piss, Cock, Cunt, Motherfucker, Cocksucker and Tits.

No they didn't, as has already been explained to you.

I guess I find Giuliani more believable than you, too.
Maybe if you wrote better, or showed more honesty about your personal bias...I dunno...or maybe if you sold cigars between your rantings...

Well Cunt, what you or I or Giuliani believe is irrelevant. These judges, for better or worse, are the arbiters of the matter and lawyers like Giuliani have the task of convincing them and juries that their arguments and evidence justifies a decision in their client's favor.
That's not my opinion by the way. It's the first sentence in Article III of the US Constitution. The only appeal is to a higher court and appeals end at the Supreme Court, no matter how much Giuliani shit talks on his podcast.
If he ain't winning, it's his own damn fault.
