Re: Darkover Mafia - Day 2
PM games are the norm at Ratskep, Aden. I can see why they'd mention it.

Re: Darkover Mafia - Day 2
Okay, I have never seen a game where anyone but scum and masons get to PM. Town can't because we don't know who we are right? So why does it matter to you and def whether there are PMs or not? You both used it as a excuse for minimal participation and unsteady steps.CookieJon wrote:What!? For "mentioning" no-PMs?!Adenosine wrote:FOS Cookie and def for mentioning the no-PM thing. I don't understand how the fact that scum gets to PM means someone who mentions no-PM is scum.
Please explain.... no, seriously!
Ignore me, I'm just here for the Mafia.

Hello,
This is a message from your fiendly GM.
Zigmen is young Valdir Alton, and is an Innocent Child.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled mafia game

Wow, okay. I'll have to play a game there to see how it works.Bolero wrote:PM games are the norm at Ratskep, Aden. I can see why they'd mention it.
End fos, end derail.

Re: Darkover Mafia - Day 2
Dl, I had never played a no PM game until I came over here. Let's not turn this into a Ratskep vs. Ratz thing.Adenosine wrote:FOS Cookie and def for mentioning the no-PM thing. Only scum and Masons get to PM.
The dynamics over there are very different because you can PM people.

Re: Darkover Mafia - Day 2
Ah, no I see. You think I'm bitching about no-PMs simply to make point that I don't have that luxury.
Could an equally possible explanation be that all of the games I've played on RatSkep have been PM games, and that the difference in style might be something someone in such a position might... well.. mention!?
EDIT: Ah, thanks guys.

Re: Darkover Mafia - Day 2
That makes zero sense.Adenosine wrote:FOS Cookie and def for mentioning the no-PM thing. Only scum and Masons get to PM.
I think it's harder to get to know people in no-PM games. I almost never play them. Therefore, I must be scum

You can add me to the RatSkep list too, that's where I've gotten to know a few players here.
Anyway, I'll vote depending on what's going on in a few hours, since nobody has any solid finger pointing going on.
Re: Darkover Mafia - Day 2
The PM thing is a cultural misunderstanding.
Did anything happen to you overnight, Linus?
Special? Masons can communicate among themselves, but they aren't specials. Obviously she's clear now she's dead, but you'll have to explain the 'clearable' as a living player part to me, along with why you think masons are town specials.Linus wrote:Why are you glad you didn't guard Athene? Hmmm...Zigmen's an innocent. Does the IC have some sort of role, or is it just a distraction?
Folks, my bed is calling. See you tomorrow.

It is not a distraction, it gives town a cleared player.Bolero wrote:Hmmm...Zigmen's an innocent. Does the IC have some sort of role, or is it just a distraction?

No, I get that. I just wondered if there was more to it that that.divagreen wrote:It is not a distraction, it gives town a cleared player.Bolero wrote:Hmmm...Zigmen's an innocent. Does the IC have some sort of role, or is it just a distraction?

Re: Darkover Mafia - Day 2
Two masons can clear or semi-clear each other if they know each other's alignment, so it's very good for town to have two players that are unlikely to be mislynched. AFAIK, nothing happened to me overnight.charlou wrote:The PM thing is a cultural misunderstanding.
