Oz members here have not been the vociferous anti-US crowd in this debate (I believe you want some Canadian members for that... )

However, we can express some disquiet at the extra-legal actions or the celebratory tone of some, while still understanding the American response...

Ayaan's reference (in one of the other topical threads) to the "wanted, dead or alive" wild west style cliche is a good example of one US cultural aspect. It ties in with where I was prodding with my "Hollywood" comment, too.

My favorable assumption is based on personally having known a SEAL and having learned about the way they work, how they work with each other, and their code, it has nothing to do with Bush or Obama.

They are the super elite of the military for a reason.

I would have hoped we, as a civilization, would have grown up a bit since the french and russian revolutions. Also, cheering the end of a world war is quite a fuck of a lot different than cheering the assassination of one individual.
