I wish. *sigh*.
Good one Gawd.
Good one Gawd.

Atheists have always argued that this world is all that we have, and that our duty is to one another to make the very most and best of it. ~Christopher Hitchens~

I think the OP may be a case of overzealousness. Several of those quotes have merit, and I applaud them. A few, though, range from half-truths to hyperbole to horseshit.
Even if they all made sense, Gawd could do well with a lesson in government 101: there's this pesky little thing called "political capital". Obama's already spent a ton of it getting health care, financial reform and other big-ticket stuff through. There's only so much he's going to be able to accomplish in barely two years in office without 1) having the follow-on blow up in his face, and 2) making himself unelectable next fall. The good news is that getting Bin Laden will net him a lot more of that capital. Let's see how he spends it.

Ummm, Ian, take a look at your deficit and the recessive American economy before you talk about capital.Ian wrote:I think the OP may be a case of overzealousness. Several of those quotes have merit, and I applaud them. A few, though, range from half-truths to hyperbole to horseshit.
