With that margin, some Democrats must have voted for it in the House. We can hope a similar proportion would in the Senate.
Obama has shown a modicum of learning ability since the Republicans took control of the house. He might veto it if it reaches his desk, but there's an outside chance he might realize that his chances of reelection are better if he tries to run the government within the constitution rather than trying to govern in the tradition of James II&VII.
The real teeth of the House is its ability to attach defunding provisions to "must pass" legislation.
And Obama hasn't learned anything, he's following the game plan laid out in the beginning. He's simply positioning himself for a 2012 run at reelection. In order to do so, in response to the spanking he got in November, he's got to APPEAR to be pandering to the right, in order to garner votes from the political center, who like most voters, have incredibly short memories for who did what to them in the recent past.
Trust me, if he gets reelected, he'll turn right back to the hard-left Progressive plan and he'll do everything in his power to ram through every Progressive dream legislation of the last century. Had we not changed course and retaken the House, he'd be doing it right this minute.
Make no mistake, he's a hard-left Marxist Progressive ideologue who is intent on "fundamentally tranforming" the United States into a Marxist Progressive utopia, but he's a smart and cunning one who will tell any lie he has to in order to get the results, and he and the rest of the Progressives plan far ahead and have contingencies for every setback, which are what he's executing now.
He is, and will always be, a dangerous traitor to the Constitution and the Republic.
