So DP claims Miller, does he? Hmm.
Yes, irre - I copped the Miller role in one of your games. Remind me, have I killed you enough times for that yet, or do I still owe you some more pain?
Miller shows scum if lynched, town if NKd. I decided the best strategy would be to do everything in my power to avoid getting lynched - i.e. scum-hunt like crazy - and to be a pain in the arse to scum so they'd kill me. I succeeded in getting Nkd and as a happy side-effect left a good trail of work for Town to pick up.
What I DIDN'T do was out myself Day One.
Because I figured that announcing "Ooh, poor little me, please don't lynch me 'cos I'll show as scum" would rightly be greeted with derision and disbelief.
I see Aza is getting fossed for pointing out something similar, but I'm not so sure that wanting an outed Miller (IF he is a Miller) out of our hair is so very scummy. At present, DP is just another source of wifom that frankly we could live without. Mantis wifoms further by wondering if DP is in fact a Jester...
Apart from the above, Mantis has been very pro-active, which is her Town style. Though she's VERY good at it, she doesn't enjoy deceiving, and is always more open in her play as Town.
No-one seems overtly scummy, which is a mighty pain. Though I'm not quite sure I buy Gib's "I'm so busy at TR I forgot to check in here". Feck has chilled out after his intial Ani-esque weirdness. Irre and Oblivion seemed at one point to be having some kind of love-feast, but have reverted to their usual mutual suspicion, which is at least more comfortable for the rest of us. Mono hasn't engaged much, but then we've lynched him for not showing before and he's flipped Town.
So-
It's been slated by a couple of people as a scummy thing to want to do, but nonetheless, I feel it would be better to remove DP just so we can stop wondering about him and get on with business. As it is, he's just a worrying distraction. He's a smart enough cookie to be pulling this whole Miller thing as a scummy stunt, and even if he turns out to have been Jestering all along as Mantis suggests, then at least we will be free of his wifom.
Vote DP
Thank you for the compliment, but not even I would pull a stunt like this one day one.
It's all risk for no reward, I outed to prevent the seer from thinking they'd caught scum if they viewed me, exposing themselves for no gain to town, the way I figured it was: you don't believe me and you lynch me, or, you do believe me and then I'm essentially cleared town, and in lieu of a special that makes me a prime scum target, scum want unknowns at endgame, it makes it easier to manipulate the town players into distrusting each other.

And those Zumwalts are already useless, they can be taken out with an ICBM.
The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.
