Anyone following the thread at RS, with this 'Monkeyhole' person who claims to have some sort of knowledge about the case? Most curious...

The author, be it a person or a contractor with employees of his own, hired to create a work holds no right of copyright ownership. Josh does not own the copyright to anything he was hired, or contracted, to create - whoever hired, or contracted him, to do it does.

eta: Depending on what countries copyright laws we're operating under (but most major nations subscribe to the same copyright treaties - so it usually makes no difference).

My father wrote numerous hardware patents while working for other companies. Though he was given credit for writing them, he did not have ownership.

Yes, I've been browsing it. He's a moron/troll, but so are most of the other people in that thread. Very few of them have got the issue of copyright ownership right, and the ones that have have just been ignored.

The malware attack has been an ongoing issue since October 11. A coincidence, I think.

I know. The thought crossed my mind. More than likely it was coincidental. But it wasn't completely illogical to briefly think it was possible.
