Here's the question that concerns me though, which outcome of the Afghanistan war will make it easier for them to give secular democratic socialism a try some day? The hyper-capitalism we'll probably leave there will set them on a more hopeful course than some fretful would-be alpha males too frightened of women to let them go to school acid free.

Ok, look at the US civilian/military casualties and compare that to Al Quaida's. Shit, alot of those imported Mujahideen were previously jailed in their own countries for domestic terrorism.
