Mongolian terror trout!

Post by Rum » Tue Jan 26, 2010 9:28 pm

I thought that would grab your attention!

Whilst flipping through the hundred and one available Sky channels available on TV (and as ever there was 'nothing on') I came across a programme in the documentaries section called 'Mongolian terror trout'.

It deserves special attention as a totally fucked up but amazing phrase...if nothing else!

Give me a stout line, a sharp hook and a large, juicy worm and I'll soon show the buggers some terror! :lay:

Seen a documentary on some guy searching (and fishing for) these they grow BIG but not man eaters , However there are some catfish in India that live in river that have grown HUGE on a diet of human remains and they have been seen taking young cows down and probably people . There is a river in Spain which has had cat fish introduced into it and they thrive there and so far are reaching 300lb size (and still growing by the year) I wouldn't swim in that river .

I think the actual terror was probably felt by the poor fish when it was yanked out of its river by a western angler (and his 17 local guides/assistants, of which, oddly, only two feature in one of the pics!)

No biggest thing I've 'met' was a conger that straitened out a 6inch stainless hook , If I had landed it it would probably have killed ME .
