I hate them with a vengeance. They are so dehumanising. Luckily of course they are only required in public transport where many actually dont bother. With my lungs any restriction on my breathing is painful. Anyway there has not been any guide lines issued on what a mask should be at its use that's how serious they take it. There is still no conclusive evidence to even suggest they help. Just cranking up the paranoia.
We have no restrictions on movement but that is more cultural question.

So do I, It's so bothersome that it's giving me fuel to procrastinate on such essentials as grocery shopping (which I ought to be doing, like, right as I type)

Well, here, they sell one use medical standard masks, or washable cloth ones... the high grade medical ones are still reserved for medical personnel.

Let me put it another way. Which medical authority are you quoting for approval, and in what situations are they approved, or not approved?
What is their basis in science?
Are they taking into account Brownian Motion and Electrostatic Attraction?
...or is it a "six out of ten dentists" say it meme?
