Good point, I'll stop paying my water bill, and I'll just walk out of the grocery store with my food without paying now, because I shouldn't have to pay for the things I need.Animavore wrote:
I am curious as to what person in power said not to be greedy for the things we need, like healthcare, a living wage, and the right to be free of fear and violence in our communities? Who says that? Half the people in power want to make healthcare a government utility or provide it at government expense, and they want to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour, and to increase police powers to cut down on violence and criminal behavior in our communities. The other half that don't want to have government pay for healthcare or to raise the living wage say they don't want those things not because the recipients would be "greedy," but because they believe that a system of privately run healthcare is better and more efficient, and a living wage set to the level demanded would actually hurt more than it will help.
