Are some animals evil?

Post by cronus » Fri Dec 09, 2016 6:57 am

Consider the shark? it's had yonks to develop a complex moral compass and move away from eating anything that moves in the water. No change at all. It's not like culture couldn't develop and social customs - it doesn't appear to want to change, though. :coffee:

When you are clearly the top of the chain, you don't need a moral compass towards other animals. Unfortunately for the shark it has been surpassed by us at the top of the chain, so it needs to sort its shit out quick smart!

In past times in England, animals that killed a man (like a bull goring a farmer to death) were actually put on trial, and sentenced to death...

Mayhem is not evil. She's just the victim of bad photography.

Just look how gently she plays with that mouse. She loves playing with mice.

And here she is seen taking a sick birdie to the veterinarian.

"Evil" is a concept that can only make sense to theists and other primitives.

That's my problem with apex predators. I mean, they've had exactly the same amount of time to evolve as we have and yet have they ever bothered to develop language, write plays, or invent poptarts? No. They're not just stuck in a rut, they're fucking lazy that's what they are. Stupid, feckless, skivers.

These days we just kill animals that haven't harmed anyone.

Animals are not evil. But they can be possessed by evil demonic spirits.

Beware of generalisations, Brian. #notallpredators

Vladimir Ashkatnazy, for instance. Here he is seen practising for his next recital.

Surely you've read some reviews by the prominent film critic, François Moggaut.

Need I even mention Louis Pawsteur?

Many animals cause harm to others, some even seem to do it for their own amusement - cats will often murder mice slowly and not eat them. Why isn't that evil?

Because the mice were asking for it.
