I think it's a very good arrangement, and having the justice system provide 'victims services' in the way that it does now seems in conflict with that.
Only if you don't understand who the actual real life victim was, or you hate women, or you have severe ASD and can't get past semantics.
Oh little one, if only the whole modern justice system could only see how smart you are...they would all change.
I don't understand either, so your brilliance whipped past me, too. Maybe you could explain it so someone as simple as I can understand...
Why is it better to name the victim as an individual, rather than as 'R'?

You'll just troll any response I'd make. And the fact that you apparently can't even tell the difference between the real victim and a legal artifice suggests I'd be wasting my time.

You are right, of course. I sure wish the legal system would start listening to you. I know I am.

As I said, you can't tell the difference between the real victim and a legal artifice. And the legal system is fine. I haven't commented on the legal system. Additionally, I'm not the one who has a problem with it. It's you who thinks that a non-sentient thing (the legal system) can be insulted and nonsensically needs to have the concept of "victim's services" separated from it.

trolololol.
Victims Services is a great boon to real and false accusers, who really ARE all victims.
Huh? False accusers aren't victims.

Horkins wrote that all three witnesses’ credibility had been undermined by their own testimony. “The success of this prosecution depended entirely on the Court being able to accept each complainant as a sincere, honest and accurate witness,” he concluded. “Each complainant was revealed at trial to be lacking in these important attributes. The evidence of each complainant suffered not just from inconsistencies and questionable behavior, but was tainted by outright deception.”
Nevertheless, journalists like to write up these articles as if the complainants have suffered some indignity or unfairness. It's always the defense engaged in some strategy or artifice, rather than proving the witnesses liars.

For the time being -- the movement is underway to eliminate the burden of proof, etc.

Indeed, but there is a serious danger of it succeeding. Those forces are gradually shifting the zeitgeist.
