No it doesn't and yes it is.In fact, it has more right, because it isn't a terrorist state.

Respond to what? Israel hasn't dropped a nuke on them...yet.mistermack wrote:Iran has the legal right to break the conditions of the treaty. It's up to them if it complies or not. There is no international court.
The US is breaking the non-proliferation agreement by supplying the weapons material and technology to Israel under cover. That gives Iran the moral right to respond.
Well, I disagree to an extent. The actual state of Saudi Arabia has itself a lot to fear from fundamentalist muslims, who despise the Saudi royal family and its connections to the US. However, there are many fundamentalist preachers there, and many wealthy Saudis who give major financial support to various terrorist organisations. Quite the house divided, actually...rEvolutionist wrote:Saudi Arabia, a US ally, is the biggest terrorist state in the world. Iran is small fry compared to them.
And as you know, might makes right, particularly in global affairs. Iran has every right to do what it wants, as long as it can convince others not to impede on that right.
Why isn't there a "deliberately stupid" smilie?Seth wrote:Respond to what? Israel hasn't dropped a nuke on them...yet.mistermack wrote:Iran has the legal right to break the conditions of the treaty. It's a unique kind of concentration camp, where the inmates get food and healthcare, and can leave any time they like.Svartalf wrote:especially since those in Aussie concentration camps are as many as don't come to clutter the US immigrant problem...
They get food, alright, but yeah, all prisoners do these days. As for health care, they get less than ordinary imprisoned criminals. Oh, and being able to leave any time they like? I don't think so. The so-called immigration detention centres are prisons - concentration camps without the comforting warmth provided by gas ovens and without adequate shower facilities.mistermack wrote:It's a unique kind of concentration camp, where the inmates get food and healthcare, and can leave any time they like.
I never miss the point. Ever.rEvolutionist wrote:It's hard to tell these days whether he is deliberately trolling or just totally missing the point. I suspect he invokes the former as cover for the latter a lot of the time.
Not really. If they are free to leave the country and go home then they are free and they CHOOSE to live in detention facilities, which in all probability are far nicer than anything they might get in their home country. Constraining their movements to prevent them from disappearing into the general population and taking jobs from Australians is perfectly appropriate for illegal aliens and should be the norm worldwide. Australia is being particularly compassionate by providing them with such nice living facilities.Hermit wrote:Puts the "can leave any time they like" in an entirely different light, doesn't it? As usual, in your bubble of excellence, you have no idea how wrong u are.mistermack wrote:It's a unique kind of concentration camp, where the inmates get food and healthcare, and can leave any time they like.Svartalf wrote:especially since those in Aussie concentration camps are as many as don't come to clutter the US immigrant problem...
