Not the worst of ideas, at least as far as the GOP ticket goes.Coito ergo sum wrote: I think maybe a Chris Christie -P and Condi Rice - VP would be a nice ticket.

Concur about Paul Ryan, he needs to wait a while (and then be crushingly defeated, as I despise his politics. Ditto for Rand Paul). Rubio only seems like a viable candidate at first glance; I also don't think he's ready for prime-time. And did I hear that Ted Cruz is mulling a run, citing "grassroots support"? That would be a spectacular disaster - I'd watch his campaign with the same interest as driving past a massive accident on the side of the highway.
What about Jon Huntsman? Personally, I think he only ran in 2012 so that he could build some name recognition in order to run more successfully in 2016. Maybe he'll do it.

On the Democratic side, I really hope Joe Biden doesn't bother to run. He's okay as veep, but I think he'd be a joke as President. The guy doesn't seem to understand how silly he can sound when he rambles on about something. I prefer Obama's cautious press corps answers to his verbal diarrhea. The soundbites from a Biden presidency would provide comedians with material for years.
A while back I speculated that Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) could someday run. So I was happy to see this on Politico a couple days ago: http://www.politico.com/story/2013/04/k ... 90706.html
But I don't think that'll happen in 2016, even if Hillary doesn't run. She'd be better off in 2020 (if a Republican wins in 2016) or 2024 or later.
Awesomeness, but Warren won't run, at least not in 2016. But I'd love to see it, if only to see how much Wall St. craps themselves over the possibility of her winning.Kristie wrote:Clinton/Warren 2016!!!
