I see Maher's point. Romney pandered to the crazy far right during the primaries, and did so quite proudly. So either we have to believe that was all an act and he really didn't believe what he said back then, or that he actually does believe them and will follow through. Neither speaks well of him.

And I'm wondering how anyone who achieved that high a status in the Mormon church can not be expected to continue the war in intellectualism that the GOP has been waging for years.

Look - the list is a pretty fact-specific, non-mushy claim. The companies with the asterisks either went bankrupt, or they didn't. Should be easy to debunk, if that's the case.

Well, let's take a look at the very first business on the list, Evergreen Solar. The problem? It didn't participate in the 1705 program.
