I see Maher's point. Romney pandered to the crazy far right during the primaries, and did so quite proudly. So either we have to believe that was all an act and he really didn't believe what he said back then, or that he actually does believe them and will follow through. Neither speaks well of him.

And I'm wondering how anyone who achieved that high a status in the Mormon church can not be expected to continue the war in intellectualism that the GOP has been waging for years.

:funny:

Romney: he will kill all the polar bears, let sick people just die, fry the atmosphere, and crack the Earth, poison the air, and fill the sea with oil.

Better elect Obama, so that this will be the moment when the seas will stop rising, and carnivores will become vegetarians.

Given that Romney has chided Obama's focus on green energy and has advocated increasing our use of fossil fuels, it's not exactly a stretch to say Romney's policies would exacerbate global warming.

Because Obama's policies of dumping billions of dollars into corrupt and bankrupt "green energy" companies has helped a lot? Come on, dude...

You don't really pay much attention to anything beyond the talking points, do you?

http://www.brightgreentalent.com/why-ro ... nt-add-up/

The government's investments in green energy are succeeding at a better rate than investments made by Bain Capital!

So yeah...once again, data....the conservatives' kryptonite.

Gee, the Heritage Foundation? I'm completely confident in their objectivity in how they labelled a company as "faltering".

Why couldn't you find a right-wing source with a clear agenda?

So, they're wrong, then?

And, now you need "objective" reporting? Except when you cite sources, right? LOL -- "Bright Green Talent" -- impeccably unbiased....

Look - the list is a pretty fact-specific, non-mushy claim. The companies with the asterisks either went bankrupt, or they didn't. Should be easy to debunk, if that's the case.

LOL - Obama apparently polls better than Romney with the racist NASCAR fans. Who'da thunkit?

Wal-Mart to Romney - NASCAR to 'bama... que sera sera.
Not all Nascar fans are racist. :hmph:
Not all of anything is anything. But, knowing the breadbasket of NASCAR is the former states of the Confederacy, it's probably not a bad bet, unless one is going to claim that Southern and Midwestern NASCAR fans are more progressive than the general population in the former Confederate States.... :coffee:
I know a few Nascar fans that will be voting Romney: my Dad, brother-in-law, uncle.... :nono:
We danced.

The "three companies that have gone out of business" is a widely-cited fact. Couple that with the documented fact that there were 33 loans given out under the DOE's 1705 program, and you end up with the 8% figure.
Look - the list is a pretty fact-specific, non-mushy claim. The companies with the asterisks either went bankrupt, or they didn't. Should be easy to debunk, if that's the case.
Well, let's take a look at the very first business on the list, Evergreen Solar. The problem? It didn't participate in the 1705 program.

http://mediamatters.org/research/2011/0 ... hin/183556

"Evergreen did not try to go through the long, costly process of obtaining a federal loan because of what it described last summer as signals from the department that its technology was too far along and not in need of research and development assistance. The Energy Department has a policy of not commenting on companies that do not apply. [New York Times, 1/14/11]"

Coito, those were venture capital companies. A legal form of gambling. For rich people and the Gubment.
;)

You are free to gamble your money. Some of them will pay off, big time. 80% will fail.
