No - I *am* serious. I agree he has charisma, but to quote his own reference in the book (a description that cut him deeply) he is 'wooden' in his acting . Reading the book it was sheer perseverance and saying yes to everything that was offered him which got him work..plus the balls and brass nerve. Those songs (with the exception of Common People) show breathtaking lack of judgement on an artistic level but they show very big cajones!
