For some time I've taken a broad view and considered anyone with a working brain, who interacts with the environment and society, as applying the principles of aba, math, technology and physics, etc, to some degree. We do so for most of our lives, most often without even being aware of doing so.Mr.Samsa wrote:The distinction is similar to someone who sits in science class dropping objects and measuring how long they take to hit the floor - they are doing physics. Of course, it seems weird to call them "physicists" because that term refers to people who do physics as well as academics who have spent years working towards their PhD and building supercolliders etc., but technically they are doing physics in the same way the laymen would be using applied behavior analysis.
We are natural scientists, observers and manipulators. We have the ability to be/become aware of how we interact with the environment and as a society, and to be more consciously experimental and discerning in the application of our skills.
