Re: Hitman: Blood Money Mafia - A Dance With The Devil (Part
I'm convinced by Ani's Night Kill. If Zigmen was Scum (or Agent 47), they would have removed a different player. Probably Oblivion, who would have flipped Town and then the lynch on Contra wouldn't even be as controversial as it is. It would have been a piece of cake.
It may be true that the law cannot make a man love me, but it can keep him from lynching me, and I think that's pretty important.

I'm just catching up though. I'm going to read this last nine pages again.

Contra, did your role PM (the new, true one) tell you a VIP was immune to your action?Contrapposto wrote:I already clarified that or so I thought. My PM said that a "VIP " was immune, not a "GUEST". 47 is a guest. I made a wrong assumption about my role PM.Linus wrote:I must confess that when I asked the question, I was hoping to get a cleared player (or, more precisely, I was hoping for near-certain knowledge of the form "if contra is town, then player X is not agent 47"). But then I remembered, you said agent 47 is immune to your blocks.Contrapposto wrote:Oblivion. I will reluctantly say that she seems to be clear since a kill happened.Linus wrote:contra, who did you block?
Also. What the hell is this "viewed" question some of you are wanting an answer for? I am working and on my phone.

What? We strayed from that because Gonzo confirmed Oblivion's version of the Oblivion-Diva PM Scandal. You not only say if you had your way you'd vote Oblivion, but you DO vote Oblivion (who you also say you blocked, and thus cleared of the kill, at least).Contrapposto wrote:My gut points to rc and Linus. In that order.irretating wrote:Contra, who is scum in your opinion? I know you think town is going to pull this victory out, but I'm having serious doubts because people are being led about and maintaining a perpetual confusion instead of actually playing mafia. For instance, if you flip town (which I think you will) then it looks like I'm the next lynch, which is :picard: and if you flip scum MZ and zig will say I tried to save you.
There is just a certain insincerity about rc that I can't place my finger on thus my ribbing (fixing) him regarding his post I quoted. btw, what is the code for :fixed: anyway?
Oblivion also bothers me and I can't help but wonder if Gonzo only had to step in with her furor over the PM debacle to ease everyone else away from breaking a game over a lie.
Our plan was to vote Oblivion if diva flipped town. Why we strayed from that exactly I do not know.
If I had it my way, I would ##vote oblivion## and block Linus or rc tonight but I don't see that happening.
Sorry. I'm still reading, but I'm posting as I see things here. Makes no sense, to me.

K, I see you've unvoted Oblivion and voted Zigmen. But, still. What was that Oblivion vote about?

Now that you mention it, and since you spanked us collectively early on for not having played the game, I've read way, way, WAY more Hitman sites and blogs than I'd ever thought possible, and yes, Agent 47 does seem to stick around and kill everyone. He leaves no witnesses. Can't believe I know that.Contrapposto wrote:Well I would say either of us could swing to prove things, and it would, but the problem is the last VIP thing. You guys really seem to be angling to find us all so badly and i can't help but wonder if you have some win condition we don't know about.
In the game when 47 hits all his targets he goes home and the mission is a success. He doesn't stick around to obliterate all the guests now does he?
I was really hoping to reveal all this AFTER blocking a kill. I would have looked even better then I'm about to.
...and, yes, I am sounding smarmy smug little bastard. I can't help that.

you who got all paranoid and thought i was fossing u btw, or at least you said there was something pingy about it. If you didn't mean me can u recall who u did mean?
I went back through the thread from the point where the PM fiasco blew up. I saw the area where I started to look sorta 0.o in your direction for a bit, but I didn't say anything in-thread.

sounds ok to me zigZigmen wrote:Raven, is there any way the extra Officer could be Town?
Please read my above post, look at the numbers, and try to figure out any scenario where that could happen.
I know you're Town, and I need to figure out if I'm missing something.
RC and Gib, same question.
tbh contra's megaflail is enough for me
don't really get why a scum irre would stick her neck out so far for him tho

I'm happy with my vote.
He looks like he's flinging shit just to muddy the waters.
Providing he flips scum, the rest should be easy.
4 guests, 3 invited. Me, Linus, r.c, Irre
Lynch them one by one and scum will be no more.
Worst case has town winning at a canter.

How did you go from worrying that the game would end if you're killed to "Town will still win because of our numbers as we sort through the rest of the uncleared guests"?Zigmen wrote:First, I agree this is a Ratskep kinda game, and I don't enjoy those games much. So, I probably wouldn't have signed up for this either.irretating wrote:There are people poring over lists and numbers, like this game is a cryptic crossword. If it actually is, then I shouldn't have signed up, because I like pure mafia. So, I'm assuming it is straight mafia.
Zig, I'm curious. You're sure it's contra. And then, you're pretty it's me, right? I'd like to hear who you would then think it is when I flip town.
And yeah, not to kill you with details, but there's only 2 spots Scum can hide right now, and that's 1 Guest and 1 Officer.
Contra also just claimed my name after claiming some other name yesterday. He's busted in a lie.
Beyond him, we have a narrow field of unviewed Guests. You're in that field.
The things that strike me about you are you trying to lead the BW against me yesterday despite the facts that were staring at everyone. I could not possibly be anything but who I claim.
Then, today, you're trying to save Contra, who could not possibly be anything but Scum.
So, yeah, you look scummy to me.
Given the setup, you guys did pretty good, though.
And if it isn't you as the final Scum, Town will still win because of our numbers as we sort through the rest of the uncleared guests.
So, this is really game over,
If you're Town, you can sit back and coast at this point.
Xpost w/the liar.

Now you are REALLY playing off other's ignorance to the flavor. Yes. You can go psycho and turn the whole level into a blood bath but you would also get a lot less money and a much lower assassin rating.amok wrote:/\ /\ /\

Cuz the Agent will be dead. It wasn't true last night, but it will be true tonight.Linus wrote: How did you go from worrying that the game would end if you're killed to "Town will still win because of our numbers as we sort through the rest of the uncleared guests"?
Would be odd mechanics, otherwise.

Every one of you has cast doubts on Zigmen's views and his choices.
Why didn't he view me like you asked?
Because he wasn't trying to clear me - that's why. Apparently you all would believe someone if they told you there were two docs and lynch the first person to disagree.
You are clearly biased and you will lose this game at around 11.
I'm through trying to convince.
