The Bigger The Lie...

Post by devogue » Thu Jul 21, 2011 6:56 pm

I visited my first high school's website and I found the following reasons for teaching religion:
Religious Education is important as it actively promotes the values of truth, justice, tolerance, respect for all and care of the environment.
Such lies, such utter nonsense.

Truth: That 2,000 years ago the creator of the universe was murdered then rose from the dead? :spray:

Justice: Roman Catholicism? After centuries of hideous injustices they claim it promotes justice? :spray:

Tolerance: From a school sector that purposely segregated itself from those of different creeds. :spray:

respect for all: except homosexuals, atheists and other sub-humans. :spray:

care of the environment: on the clear understanding that man is at the top of the tree and creation is there for our benefit and ours alone. :spray:

My high school has now branded itself as a "Science and Sports College" - which I suppose is a positive thing for a Catholic school, though their website opens with the quote, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."
