That clip is older than balls.
I have that whole book on audio. Sagan only does the first four chapters but because of illness never finished.
Chapter five onwards is a guy who's voice brings forth the image of an illegal American bookie complete with red and white striped shirt with thin black bands around the bicep and one of those head-bands with see-through orange cap peak.
I never got past chapter five.
