Finally finished "Hitch 22" a couple of days ago - a really worthwhile and enjoyable read.

I started reading The Spellman Files, about the family of dysfunctional private investigators. I thought it was awful at first, very poorly written. But then I really got into it. And then it got stupid and boring. But then it got interesting again. But then I started playing a new video game and forgot about it. It's on my bedside table. I should finish it

I finished I, Claudius this weekend and I absolutely loved it. I also read Heart of a Dog by Mikhail Bulgakov which was pretty solid. Then I started Claudius The God by Robert Graves which is the sequel and picks up where I, Claudius leaves off. It's more of the same and quite good as well. Although it's lost it's amazing incredulity and excitement that I had in the first book, it's still a great story so far.

Still working on Hume's Treatise, or pretending to do so.
I have a tendency to read a chapter or two in a book and pick up another, so often I'm in the middle of 8-9 books.
I just finished a marathon speed read for book clubs, reading 3 books in two weeks, when it usually takes me a month on just one. The books so consumed were, Sam Harris' "The Moral Landscape" (worth a read, but I felt it failed in critically necessary areas), Andre Comte-Sponville's "The Little Atheist Book Of Spirituality" (French intellectualist garbage in the post-modernist vein of talking much and saying little), and Christopher Hitchens' "God Is Not Great" (an enjoyable enough read, but, intellectually speaking, it was long on rhetoric, and comparatively light on actual arguments).
Anyway, what else.
Still have a lot of books on dialetheism and epistemology on the list, and try to preferentially sample library books before I have to return them.
Hottest on my list are:
Pascal Boyer's "Religion Explained", Bart Ehrman's "Forged", and a book on a new take on the meaning of the Tao in ancient Chinese philosophy ("A Daoist Theory of Chinese Thought" by Chad Hansen).
What I'm reading tends to be rather chaotic and volatile.

Helsiki Homicide 3. Its not CSI, in fact the suspects are repeat offeders mostly, easy to keep track of in some ways but they have their ways.

Just finished Orson Scott Card's "Seventh Son" - found a Swedish translation in a library on Monday, while I was waiting for the kids. Seeing as the girls have recently gone bonkers for Maite Carranza's "The War of the Witches" (and pretty much everything else magic-related during the last 3-4 years), I wanted to check this one out. I was pleasantly surprised, mostly.
The only thing I really can't make sense of is how an apparently devout mormon (source: Wikipedia) could write that book, but maybe he can hold one set of beliefs while writing and another at other times.
