Re: The Innsmouth Look Day 1
The things that have really stood out to me so far in this thread are
- the linus/ksen interaction
- Athene whiteknighting Linus
I'm not sure what to make of Linus/ksen, but I thought it was interesting that ksen's reaction to Linus' posts was similar to mine. I know that Linus does this thing about viewing obscure players whether he is town or scum. This time his reasoning for giving someone a half-vote pings.
And Athene's sole contribution to the thread has been to dismiss the interaction that is generating discussion as though it (and Linus) are not a big deal. Which would leave us where?

sorry crosspost, but I'd still like to know how good your record at reading athene is.

You're misapplying the rule IMV. Your reaction to my vote is of interest.Athene wrote:Guapo's rule.

My record is not bad, but it helps to get some posts out of her. Seems I have.Uselesstwit wrote:sorry crosspost, but I'd still like to know how good your record at reading athene is.
Re: The Innsmouth Look Day 1
Guapo's rule is basically - don't answer questions put to other people. I think this applies to situations where you ask somebody to explain their reasoning and they deflect it back to you.

And I think it depends on why the question was asked in the first place.Athene wrote:Guapo's rule is basically - don't answer questions put to other people. I think this applies to situations where you ask somebody to explain their reasoning and they deflect it back to you.

I'm don't see Linus's actions as particularly anti-town, some of the interest in him could be opportunism.oblivion wrote:The things that have really stood out to me so far in this thread are

Re: The Innsmouth Look Day 1
If it's opportunism, trying to shut it down and send the opportunists elsewhere is not protown.
happy with my vote for now.

Re: The Innsmouth Look Day 1
oblivion, why did you label it the "linus/ksen interaction" when charlou actually asked him about it first?
Re: The Innsmouth Look Day 1
raven that doesn't make sense
Re: The Innsmouth Look Day 1
The interaction was your focusing on it, and then apparently dropping it despite the bits that pinged to me. I didn't get the sense that charlou was satisfied with Linus' replies.ksen wrote:oblivion, why did you label it the "linus/ksen interaction" when charlou actually asked him about it first?

Re: The Innsmouth Look Day 1
I don't know, linus's plan looks internally consistent at least. Unless people are thinking that he actually thought crumble would likely get elected and then needed to swing that seer away from him. If he is scum that's an awful lot of association right off the bat. I think he's clearly wrong in that scum special hunt before they just make a list of people to kill, but trying not to waste views on people who might be dead early isn't a antitown thought.

there comes a point where talking about this and that about the seer and the mechanics is just useless.. i agreed with her comment toooblivion wrote:If it's opportunism, trying to shut it down and send the opportunists elsewhere is not protown.
