If Gonzo''s not gonna reroll, at least we can move along from dragging out the day.

Or, if he prefers, I can just announce my role-name and force the godkill . . .
I sorry you aren't having any fun, but I assure you the game is working the way it was supposed to. Mixing up two names when posting the death scene hasn't change anything from the onset, I figured out the mistake and corrected the game accordingly.

I can't help wavering between thinking Zig's response is either genuine town frustration or it's manipulative scum flail ...

Nope.

I got no PM at all until I asked for a response to my view.

Gonzo, you can just kill me and end today if you want. The game's broken, and if you're not gonna reroll and start over, there's no way I'm gonna shake this BW anyway.

Sorry Town, you evidently had 2 Seers and somehow I screwed up something so badly it can't be fixed.

Whatever.

See ya next game.
The game is not broken, but you are allowed to forfeit if you want to so badly.

No point dragging this out.

As a final word, when I GM and somebody is given a role and they put in a night move, I at very least reply to them at daybreak to tell them the effect of their move. If there is no effect because of a block, I tell them. If there is no effect for another reason, I Still tell them SOMETHING, like their move did not go through.

I do not wait for them to ask me wtf happened before informing them.

It seems to me that you accidentally sent me the Seer PM and forgot about it, and also made Denny a Seer as well. It could have been part of game design, but i still should have been told that my move didn't go through, rather than plop another Seer into the mix and leave me without some sort of PM to try to understand what happened.

Feck sums this up quite well. The fact that I wasn't blocked but had no effect on my view seems a bit too convenient.

Whatever the reason for this, I should have been told up front that my move failed, even if there was no explanation you were prepared to offer.

Cuz it just seems like you screwed up, whether you did or not.

I really don't understand why you would reason like this based on what you've reported about night actions. Besides straightforward scenarios such as you're being scum who outed to survive another night and get a 1-1 trade for the real seer (or a scum don trying to get viewed?), there are about half a dozen possibilities that are equally or less far-fetched compared to a GM mistake. Maybe you viewed someone who can't be viewed, maybe the GM culture/conventions at FF or wherever Gonzo learned to GM just differs from Ratz/TR, maybe the flavor is such that blocks aren't reported, etc.

Also, it would be nice if the most quiet players participated more so that it is possible to get a read on them.

along with eat a dick and some goatse :hehe:
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

Gonzo has offered to let me quit. I officially quit.

There's no reason to break the game any further by posting my role PM. I do not want that reputation.

And, I'm not saying it's impossible that my view didn't go through without me being blocked, I'm saying that Gonzo should have told me immediately that my view didn't go through, rather than leave me in the position that he did.
