Do you think Josh will post a link here for us to contribute to his fighting fund?

We all know how poor his judgement seems to be when picking people for the job though. :funny:

What about Suem & Fleecum?
And when he was carrying that cross up the hill, any normal realistic bloke would have mule-kicked the guy on the left, clobbered the one on the right, and been over that green hill and far away before you could say "Pontius Pilate." - Arnold Rimmer

Well, well. I departed RDF at the time of "troubles", and never looked back. Did miss the "community", and thought Dawkins was an ass for breaking it up.
I've never bought a Dawkins book, and probably never will. Frankly, renaming "ideas" as "memes" never struck me as all that brilliant.
As they say, truth will out, and it would seem that Dawkins insight into the personality of hired help is on a par with that of Madalyn O'Hair.

Richard seems to be genuinely quite naive in some ways. It's quite attractive in certain contexts - guilelessness, trustingness - but in other contexts it's just facepalm-inducing. There are so many reasons why I shouldn't find myself saying those words about someone from my grandparents' generation - but they hold, nonetheless.

He actually wrote an article recently about observing rules by the book versus using human judgement - a very good article in itself. (Read it here if you're curious.) He mentions in the Prospect version of the article that it was put to him as the proposition of what he'd do if he ruled the world - and when I read that some of the more perverse centres of my brain started firing up…

I felt like saying to him that, much as I love him for who he is, let's face it - if he ruled the world, he'd just find a nice motley bunch of incompetents to delegate everything to, whom he'd not bother to have supervised and would trust unconditionally - and he'd just turn up when the shit hit the fan with the populace a few times due to his protégés, whom he'd still fiercely defend… And then it would turn out that his most sterling protégé was taking full advantage of the opportunity presented to him by his over-trusting non-managing sugar daddy - and Richard would henceforth make plans to be more involved in the workings of things - and find that delegating probably would have been wiser, if only he had an ounce more judgement and management sense because this shit just isn't his forte after all... But I didn't say it, because I'm trying to show a little more of the charming side… :hehe:

As for Timonen - I can't believe how much of a total cock he is for actually registering a new domain, and publicising all that dry legal stuff, for his case. I saw it a while back and had actually deliberately refrained from linking to it anywhere just to avoid giving him ANY attention for it…

I think it has more to do with his inexperience with how we do things in America...has RD had this much bad luck with the business he conducts in the UK too?

It's not just bad luck, Mai - he is over-trusting and he KNOWS he is. He's spoken about it before. He's stated outright in as many words that he's easy to take for a ride.

Incidentally - Richard was just talking today about gullible idiots being fleeced (in the context of the rapture nonsense), and it naturally brought me to think of this particular topic again...

So I got to some searching around and looking again at Josh's recent pathetic efforts to gain sympathy and credibility (and of course money) - and then I go to have a quick glance to see that his sad blog ranks less than 5 millionth on Alexa. And his site publishing dry legal shit and begging for money ranks less than 20 millionth. Haha, you pretentious, attention-seeking, self-aggrandising little twerp. Eat it.

From there I quickly hop over to his Twitter, which is mostly boring - but one thing did come to light there:
joshlegalfund.png
I hop over to Chalkers' Twitter and see another Tweet on this topic re-tweeted. There's obviously quite a bit of very specific support from Chalkers on this topic. And while Richard is probably aware that the two are business partners, and he can't very well dictate friendships and loyalties that his staff choose to hold - I'd at the very least be worried that one of my staff members were standing by a guy I was incensed enough about to pursue legal action against for embezzlement. I mean, I'd have fired Chalkers ages ago for being incompetent, inexperienced and naive anyway - but we know that won't be happening any time soon. :bored:

It's probably just as well for those in Richard's inner circle of advisers and decision-makers, that they are so insular and averse to courting criticism from us lowly plebs - that they find us intrusive, presumptuous and not worthy of THEIR status and THEIR 'vision'. The very minute they even considered opening the door to any real kind of scrutiny would be the minute the clock started ticking down very quickly to them having their arses (deservingly) handed to them under Richard's gaze, and being quite quickly replaced by far more competent candidates. It would quite savagely burst that little bubble of pretension, pompousness, self-importance and inflated sense of competence that they've been cosying away in.

And that would just hurt Richard's feelings, too - because Richard weally, weally wikes these peoples, you know. They're his fwiends, don't you know? And we all know just how defensive, blinded and utterly fucking stupid Richard can get when he weally, weally, weally wikes peoples...

So long live their circlejerk, for Richard, and for the circlejerkers. :td:
