The AC/DC appreciation thread.

Post by The Curious Squid » Mon May 11, 2009 1:29 pm

What a fucking great band, no matter how shit your day's been, after three songs of AC/DC you're either ready for anything the world can throw at you or about to go and buy some beer coz you all of a sudden want to be wasted!

We have no great war, no great depression.
Our great war is a spiritual war.
Our great depression is our lives.

Angus sure knows how to put a riff together
It's a piece of piss to be cowiz, but it's not cowiz to be a piece of piss. Or something like that.

That was quick Pawiz!

I'm beginning to regret not buying a ticket for their gig next month. Think I might go on eBay :eddie:

Can't have a thread without a disagreement!

I can't stand AC/DC, I find their repetitive, entirely blues-based constant I-IV-V chord progressions with some shrieking and uninteresting pentatonic licks thrown in to be completely unappealing and undeserving of their level of fame.

There, now we'll have a thread :mob:
Is there for honest poverty
That hangs his heid and a' that
The coward slave, we pass him by
We dare be puir for a' that.

Not in this thread mate, I couldn't give a fuck about what you think of them, all I know is that they get me going and make me want to party. Job done.

They were kids pissing around on instruments.
That's why they rock, because it was never about making profound, astounding music, or money, it was a bit pissing about on guitars with their friends.

I've seen them in concert - back in 2001, it was great.

It's a pity that they don't ever seem to play this one anymore...Maybe it's the bagpipe thing ?

This was one of the best songs in the concert though...

Old school AC/DC, when they were still just messing around on their instruments.

The bagpipes in this song are terrible. Only one of the pipers really looks like he's getting into it too.

Both great songs Durro
