Very wise but I'm not sure we can justify it being Western, and no one quite hating you enough, I mean you came close to garnering world wide despite from the Bush era but he's in Narnia now where he always belonged. Plus of course even the vast ranged powers of Europe couldn't take the US, and vise a versa, it's probably best to avoid super powers unless they are on the wane like Russia.
Even then "never fight a land war in Asia." If we do go in it'll have to be fast and in spring, lets not do another Napoleon or Hitler.
If Texas secedes then now we are talking.

We wouldn't come after Euro petrol. It's way to expensive to justify an armed invasion.
When did you guys justify an armed invasion I must have missed that one.

"Justify" => "I want it". Deed done.
Anyway, I was talking about the cost, not the morality.

France hasn't been invaded for at least the past 30 minutes.

Who would want to lower the market value of something they own?
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

The Net is best considered analogous to communication with disincarnate intelligences. As any neophyte would tell you. Do not invoke that which you have no facility to banish.

Surely we can't be the ONLY net-importing first-world nation?

Maybe we can sell her back to the Russians.

France actually has an amazingly good track record when it comes to war. It just tends to be the last 70 years people focus on. Same goes for Italy although they had the Romans so they don't get half the stick France does.

It seems, as far as stealing oil, we are quite bad at it. I note the doubling of the price of fuel here in the US in the past year. We are just not seeing the results from all these oil seizures.

Us? Seems as if Limey leads the way in every effort. The latest one, Libya, we were reticent to take action, and only intervened after the Brits and the French chided us as not showing enough concern to a worthwhile cause....

Let's not mention Agincourt and Crecy.
No....lets mention them
