Re: Timebomb Day 3
I would like an opinion about the block on me and the block on Charlou being the same scum blocker.
For me it completely clears Charlou and removes any doubt about her alignment and role.
Therefore if anyone can switch points, they should look at Charlou as she is the only outed special.
I realise it doesn't clear me.

I believe it is the same blocker. I could hazard a guess who will be blocked next.Magicziggy wrote:I would like an opinion about the block on me and the block on Charlou being the same scum blocker.

I tend to agree. A couple of questions wrt praying though ... Am I right in thinking that a town praying loose cannon is only a problem if she has some night action ability? Is there any reason to think that's the case?oblivion wrote:I think we have two players that we need to try and neutralize if at all possible. Irre is one. The results of last night's votes and the mad scramble of the last half hour has been bothering me ever since. If we follow it scum will also be able to arm any of us in one night, we don't want that. make them spend two night actions instead of one if they want to arm someone. Let's stick with putting points on likely scum and not do 1/3 of the scums work for them.
Your desire to follow UTs wish kind of falls apart at the first test.
No one knows who is town.
you do like to characterize don't you. I am not following UT, if anything he/she is following me, cause I objected to that plan of yours when you said it, before UT posted about it.
Praying is the other one. She's a loose cannon.
Town needs to be sure that whatever our will is for the night results, it is a big enough majority that scum and town loose cannons can't sway it another direction.
I'm singling praying and irre out as examples of two different dangerous players. they are examples, not the sum total of the problem.
They are in this game until the vests detonate. They can do damage every single day.

I wouldn't discount the possibility of a blocker on both sides, either .. just going by things people have said.oblivion wrote:I believe it is the same blocker. Re: Timebomb Day 3
Char i'm not against mz's plan to arm scum, but doing his plan would also allow scum to arm town with one action instead of two, why can't you see why that would be a bad idea? We want them wasting their actions but for every town we arm to 2 by mistake we give them a one night kill. I'm also not that sure that there is a vig which makes the plan even dicier, because if you haven't noticed our scum suspects have gotten exactly 1 point during 2 nights of play. So yes i'm against the plan, if we think someone is scum, let's take them up to armed ourselves, or like I thought last night, right below armed to we can watch them under pressure and still make scum use a night move if they want that person armed. Have I explained this enough now or do you have more questions?

she'd be way more of a problem if she were both way off track and had a night action.charlou wrote:I tend to agree. A couple of questions wrt praying though ... The last time I remember her in the vig role, she night killed the outed seer.
but, as you can see, she'll trolley track on someone and hit them with votes day after day after day, even if she's the only one. She's going to be able to do this until the vests detonate and there's not a god damn thing anyone can do about it. I just hope she moves on to someone else. Maybe we'll get lucky and she'll decide I"m scum.
Re: Timebomb Day 3
Actually, I could be reading stuff into posts that isn't there and adding unnecessary wifom ... Going by what's been revealed by MZ and myself, there's at least one blocker ... Of that we can be sure.charlou wrote:I wouldn't discount the possibility of a blocker on both sides, either .. just going by things people have said.oblivion wrote:I believe it is the same blocker. at nightfall yesterday we wound up with 1 player armed, and 2 just below armed. I hope one of them was scum.Uselesstwit wrote:Char i'm not against mz's plan to arm scum, but doing his plan would also allow scum to arm town with one action instead of two, why can't you see why that would be a bad idea? It's interesting that I was the N2 target rather than one of the two left at (Armed - 1) last night. Maybe scum expected town to finish them off today.
Re: Timebomb Day 3
UT, I've noted your post and you make a good point too, so I see where you're coming from .. and, yes, I know you've made the point before, but it's the vehemence that seemed to border on desperation that struck me.
UT, what do you think the town:scum ratio is likely to be?

Re: Timebomb Day 3
sorry char, i'm not really vehement, ust feeling a bit tired and that's an idea that really could botch the game for town. I don't think i've ever heard anyone say we should leave it in the hands of the vig before. and especially when we're not even sure there is a vig.
as for the ratio, i'm guessing three, scum blocker, and two point adders, but to be honest i'm not really grasping why the points added dropped last night, unless feck is right and arming scum weakens them and bolero was in fact scum.

Re: Timebomb Day 3
I see both points of view. If we go for all out scum hunting, we have the danger of pushing our own over the edge and never knowing.
I guess I'm trying to buy time for all players to be convincing and for the specials to fulfil their roles.

Re: Timebomb Day 3
I think arming Bolero was an unfortunate side-effect of the vote switching for town ... but I suspect that scum was involved there, too. Speaking of which, irre has said she's got day surgery today .. I hope she'll be back before nightfall to respond to today's discussion because it doesn't feel right piling on her today if she can't.oblivion wrote:at nightfall yesterday we wound up with 1 player armed, and 2 just below armed. Re: Timebomb Day 3
i really doubt it, she's going to be knocked out and then is leaving on vacation tomorrow, i'm guessing her post count is going to be minimal from now on. And yes, both her and diva's vote switch to bolero felt a bit odd.

Re: Timebomb Day 3
ob is saying that neither of the two we have right below armed were hit by scum last night. Personally i'm not reading much into it, I would have left them alone as well. unfortunately in this game sitting back and watching people under pressure is good for special hunting as well as scum hunting. and as long as we're talking things out, any idea why I was targeted at all? the only thing I can think of is the recruit angel, because otherwise i'm just a dead townie and i'd be hunting specials if I were scum.
Who brought up the recruit idea? and is it backed by anything?

Re: Timebomb Day 3
Mantis, Gonzo and I were all at armed - 1 at niightfall. I was the target. It could be because they think I'm a special, or they think there's no way I'll pick up a vote in the next couple of days. It could be because scum expect gonzo and mantis to pick up at least one more vote on their own before detonation day so they can wait another day or so and see. It could be because one or both of them are scum.
