liberalism, and I guess that's what you're thinking, is a part of capitalism. Always was.

BUT, George Soros is one of those SUPER RICH CAPITALISTS, you know, those HARD WORKING CREATORS OF WEALTH, whom the leftie socialist leeches try to live off for free, and whom you so admire and defend!
And here you are badmouthing poor George! Such doublespeak! :funny:
Indeed. Nobody said that hard-working capitalists are incapable of wrongdoing. In fact I've said many times that government regulation intended to prevent the initiation of force or fraud are perfectly legitimate and necessary controls on the free markets.

But Soros has far more in mind than merely making money. He's engaged in sedition and treason, and should be arrested, tried and hung for it.

sweetheart

there is a difference between an abberation and a whole system that is set up to exploit and steal
Yeah, but Soros is not an aberration, and it's Marxism, socialism and communism that are set up to exploit and steal, not capitalism. I know why that is, and have explained it. Evidently you don't.

You hear that? If you're an eight year old orphan, and you contract leukemia, tough shit! Can't pay for treatment - die, bitch, die! Whattya think this this is - the hooman race or sumthin? Empathy? What the Feck is that?
Empathy does not involve you pointing a gun at me and demanding that I fork over the fruits of MY labor to save YOUR child, particularly when I need those fruits to deal with my own issues and problems.

Now, if you want to politely ask me to assist you, that's something else entirely.

But I don't work for you, I work for me. You work for yourself and your family and I'll work for mine. Try to enslave me to your service, and I'll kill you or die trying, because I will not be any man's slave. If you want to be a slave to others, that's your choice to make.

there's a plague

TOO BAD

no vaccination, no quarantine

everyone must die because collective health measures repress the individual
Which of course is yet another example of idiotic, ignorant Marxist propaganda and doublspeak.

Since you are obviously unable to comprehend, much less state the truth, I'll lay it out for everyone else: There's a substantial moral and ethical difference between taxing individuals to pay for public health programs to prevent the spread of communicable diseases and taxing people to pay for routine health care for others. Such public health programs, and the necessity of supporting them as a matter of public health to prevent the spread of communicable diseases are in fact one of the oldest and most basic legitimate functions of government. They are an expression of the government's legitimate police power authority to protect members of the public against the initiation of force and fraud through, in this case, the transmission of disease.

But whether YOU (or your children) die of heart disease or some non-communicable disease or illness is not MY problem, or anyone else's for that matter, and you have no right to use the force of government to require ME to pay for YOUR health care, no matter how dire your need or pitiable your condition. It's YOUR problem to solve, and enslaving me to your service so that you don't have to buckle down and pay your own medical bills is immoral and unethical and intolerable. You are free to ASK for help, but you may not rob others of their property to serve your need. Sometimes you die, and it's not society's responsibility to try to guarantee you anything by way of life extended beyond the limits of your natural ability to survive. We all gotta go sometime, after all. Whether you die sooner or later is not my concern. Whether I die sooner or later, and whether I have the money to pay for medical treatments I might need, is my concern, not yours.

The typical Marxist/socialist red herring appeal to pity fallacy you presented here is an intellectually bankrupt event of Marxist jingoism, nothing more.

That you are incapable of making this intellectual distinction doesn't mean it's beyond the mental capacity of others.

Pennsylvania Judge Convicted in Alleged 'Kids for Cash' Scheme

A former juvenile court judge in Pennsylvania could face more than 10 years in prison after being convicted in what prosecutors called a "kids for cash" scheme.

Prosecutors say former Luzerne County Judge Mark Ciavarella used children as pawns, locking them up unjustly in a plot to get rich. Ciavarella is accused of taking nearly $1 million in kickbacks from owners of private detention centers in exchange for placing juvenile defendants at their facilities, often for minor crimes. Ciavarella claims that the payment he received from a developer of the PA Child Care facility was legal and denies that he ever incarcerated kids for money.

"Absolutely never took a dime to send a kid anywhere," said Ciavarella.

Ciavarella, 61, was found guilty of 12 out of 39 charges on Friday, including racketeering, money laundering and conspiracy, in connection with the nearly $1 million payment from Robert Mericle, the developer of the PA Child Care center. He plans to appeal. Ciavarella was acquitted on charges of bribery and extortion in relation to additional payments from the center's builder and owner.

Families complain of Ciavarella's rapid-fire brand of justice and trials that lasted only minutes with even first-time offenders sent to detention centers.

In one reported case, Ciavarella sentenced a child to two years for joyriding in his mom's car. In another, he sentenced a college-bound high school girl to three months in juvenile detention for creating a website that made fun of her assistant principal. Some of the kids he ordered locked up were as young as 10.
You think that is capitalism?

You think that judge's in communist countries don't engage in graft and racketeering?
Moreover, evidently they utterly ignored the fact that he was found guilty and will be sentenced to prison for his CRIME. Typical.

Focus. Who said it was o.k.?

I just said it wasn't capitalism. It's graft and racketeering.

Sometimes I think you folks define capitalism as: "stuff we think is bad and unfair." And, communism as, "the shining utopia on the hill where the lions play nice with the lambs and everyone lives joyous self-fulfilling lives."

No, that's not what I'm thinking. I meant what I said.

You can't play hide the ball with communism and argue "No True Scotsman" (No True Communism), and then claim there is a truly capitalist country out there (since no capitalist country in the real world is truly capitalist, they are mixed economies). Ergo, if you are going to dodge every real world example of communism and claim that communism is awesome, despite the massive suckage represented by every real-world communist example, then you can't point to a problem in a mixed-economy country and use it as an example of the evils of capitalism.

A mixed economy is a mix of private and public control. It's an economy that reflects characteristics of both capitalism and socialism. Europe and the US are mixed economies.

Socialism involves a State, by the way, where the means of production is held by the State - public/common ownership of the means of production.

Communism, by the way, is not "workers own the means of production." Communism is the sociopolitical movement that aims toward a classless and stateless society structured upon common ownership of the means of production (not just "workers" - the common ownership), free access to articles of consumption, and the end of wage labour and private property in the means of production and real estate.
