I have a vote on me and couldn't care less, it's not like i'm going to miss out on the rest of the game am I? Also it opens up the door to claims of "oh i meant to remove that vote but I didn't get back in time" from scum.

Also, i'd put feck and gonzo on top of the viewing list for tonight if i were the seer.
You should care. It meant I thought your post pinged enough for me to vote you.
As I read through, your contributions seem valid. But I think scum can make just as valid contrubtions about game mechanics and strategy as town.
In fact moreso if it gives them town cred.
But votes accumulate and if you have a vote on you at the end of the day as scum I don;t think you;d be particularly happy.
I subsequently removed that vote btw, but not for any good reason. Just because it seemed consensus opinion at that time was to be cautious. But I'm over being cautious. We need to lay some votes.

I've got 10 mins more read time then I'm gone for a while.

Thanks for drawing attention to UT's post, MZ ... I missed that comment earlier ...

No, you won't miss out on the rest of the game, but you're still part of a team and will win or lose with your team at the end of the game. If a player is apathetic about getting points, it's not much of a game for them is it? Why play at all if they don't care to put effort into contributing for their team?

Feck wrote:No spreading of votes , it helps scum get people ,there is no way for town to remove votes (well maybe a town role might remove one vote ) but for example if we get to end game on day 4 and 4 town players have 4 votes them on the last day 4 scum members could 'arm' the bombs of those town members in one last day and steal the game .

(Bolero I want to play scum games with you :naughty: LOL)
Ok, this goes back to possible town strategies.

If we focus in on a few players on the opening days, the there will be nodoubt scum who are untouched. If they remain untouched, scum win. My suggestion for spreading the votes is an opening ploy if there is no obvious candidate for the lynch. It can bring several players closer to being armed including several scum. And I'm sure our specials can hand out some punishment at night.

I have put this forward as a possible strategy, not the only strategy. I haven;t seen any real solid arguments against it tbh. I consider not voting not an option. And I consider a large bandwagon counter prodictive because we won;t see the result.

Seeing how far your radar is off on me, I don;t recommend this on day 1. For you or anyone else.

Oblivion's working hard, Feck's in the thick of it, charlou's been posting heaps, and when UT's been online, he's been calm and making sense. MZ seems less involved than his usual self, despite a flurry of activity early on, and diva seems distracted (although I know she's busy with another game on RS). Aza had a drive-by, Gonzo and Mantis I can't get a read on, Athene and Fuzzy have been peripheral, and gib seems to me to be posting in code ... well, it doesn't make sense to me, anyway.

Those are my readings. I know I've left some out, but that's all I could squeeze out of my memory.
These neat little summary pings.
Yes that's the one.
I had read it earlier and it pinged for me.
That's why I said Bolero was suspicious for me, above anyone else.
It's intangible really.

Uselesstwit wrote:Okay, i'm back. Feck still seems a bit flaily to me, especially in contrast to his game over at tr. aza is also a big worry, lately his scum game has been quiet and his town game forceful, this isn't the forceful game. Gonzo is actually playing now so i'm getting less concerned about him.

As for the mechanics of this game, i'm wondering if it would be in towns interest to just pile the votes up on one person. Since ten is the most votes you can possibly get going over that every day would still only be one dead town person. The problem with that is it won't allow us to preasure people with points, but if we don't have a clear scum target it would be best to leave as many town at zero as poss.
This pings. I think it would be in scum's interest to pile on to one player, because that player will not be scum. And no bandwagon information can be revealed. So let's avoid an outright kill on day1.
We can put someone close enough to make them jumpy and maybe see how they repond next day. Maybe 2 or 3 votes would be sufficient. And perhaps if we do that to several players. But hey, that would be spreading the vote....!

Although so far I think Charlou is town, my observation in recent games is that she's been kind overboard on the town paranoia and suffered from a lack of occam's razor at times.
I may revote for her, but I want to think on it a bit.

my eyes are maxed out on computer monitor time. I'll check back in a few hours.
I agree with this 100%.

And at last I've read the thread.

vote UT
On balance I'm finding his suggestions to be the sort that MAY favour scum.

Oh FFS.

As if I'm the only person who's made a "neat little summary". I'm just giving you my two cents, so as not to be accused of being useless.

Vote Aza

If I'm going with Charlou for mayor, I may as well trust her vote on Aza.

When does this day round end?
