The Escape Cause

Fundies like to say everything has to have a "cause", except the Cause, 'cause he IS the Cause. I call that the Escape Cause.

it's interesting that one of the arguments they use to support the First Cause is that god is outside of time and space, and thus has no cause

yet that idea of time and space is never used by believers to show that the universe can be thought of in terms outside of the human concept of beginnings and ends in time

Yeah, they provide moral support for the extremists and validate their stance. Anyone who says their a cultrual christian is as bad as a phelps because their weakness provides validation for the extreme viewpoint.
