I wonder how unbiased the research was. The Public Religion Research Institute, who did it, seems to have a pro-religion undercurrent.

It would be sign of intelligence not to build major cities in places that shake, like California and Japan. So if you settle there, you can just expect Acts of God that the insurance will not cover.
