I always recall a Playboy cartoon of a couple of guys in heaven sauntering along picking their teeth in their patched up robes and worn sandals, the sidewalk littered with garbage, and a broken sign that said "Heaven", and one says to the other, "somehow I thought the place would be a lot classier."
Reminds of my disappointment with atheism - I thought it would people who were smart enough to see through the religion scam, and thus a cut above the hoi polloi. Hah. Just another cross section of humanity - or should I say inhumanity! Right wingers, sociopaths, they're all there.
