One conjecture is that being a minority there is more stress and this induces illhealth and bad lifestyle choices just as with other minority groups. If this is right the findings concerning longevity should be reversed in the few majority atheist countries. This should be easy to check out and if someone can find the data and bring it to this thread we could build a case? and one worthy of doing the rounds out there in the interweb?
