That was pretty good. The story of David seems to have been made up by the Southern territory of Judah to undermine the Northern Kingdom of Israel. Archaeological evidence has not unearthed his so-called great Kingdom.

Set the last 20 mins to record, and the rest of the series. I can catch the bits I missed on iplayer tomorrow. Only caught a brief glimpse, just enough to admire the presenter's cleavage...Animavore wrote:That was pretty good. This programme is amazing. Why isn't there more interest?

It seems that the theists Do NOT want to be told that they are wrong especially as it's so obvious and has been for a long time that the Bible is not the history of the jews or their wonderful God but a rewrite .

Second one is better. The first deals with a less controversial topic to reel you in.

Because it really isn't all that earth shattering. . It shouldn't really matter if the autographs (copies of a book actually created by the author) of the old testament were contemporary with the events they discribe. Sure, it's a little bit interesting, but it's not going to change anyones mind on the issue.Animavore wrote:I mean on this site. Believers have greater challenges to their faith in the internal inconsistencies of the Bible/Tenach and their general lack of credibility or support from independant sources. If that doesn't persuade a believer that the Bible isn't fundamentally different then any other book, the fact that it was rewritten various times before it took its present form won't either.
