Weekend Druids.

Post by Gawdzilla Sama » Wed Mar 23, 2011 11:51 am

I know a couple of guys who practice their religion only when it is convenient. They go about their business during the week, and when the weather's good and there are no major games on the TV, they pretend to be native Americans, including the animism. They try to commune with critters and speak with the babbling brooks. (They have the babbling down pat.)

So, know any such yourself?

Let us think the unthinkable, let us do the undoable, let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.

Lots of them over here, though substitute Wiccan/Druid/new age woo for Native American (though we get those too, perhaps oddly.)

I don't mind them so much...at least they mostly tend to keep their ideas to themselves, and don't go around evangelising all the time. They can buy as many dreamcatchers and crystals as they want, as long as they leave me alone.
