Gun fetishism is a sure sign of mental disorder. Bill Hicks or any competent psychiatrist would have a field day with this thread.

A little mental disorder never hurt anybody.

I'm not anti gun per say, IMO if the pigs have guns the people should too, saying that, I would rather neither the pigs nor the people have guns. Gun fetishism is quite funny though, a bunch of wanna be tough guys bragging about how they can "shoot someones eyes out" and going on and on about how cool their guns are. Small dick syndrome really...I think there is something to that.
Our struggle is not against actual corrupt individuals, but against those in power in general, against their authority, against the global order and the ideological mystification which sustains it.

Gun love is a red flag. If you meet someone who actually knows the name of a gun, its calibre, its range, tiptoe slowly away so as not to startle them and once out of sight, flee.

Local councils (the alchohol licenser) can require it if they deem the place to be high risk, but there is no national law on it.

I mean do they really allow beer glasses at a rock concert for example anywhere in the world even the US

If one should encounter a gun owner who does not know the most basic information about his/her firearms, such as make, manufacturer and type of ammo, that is reason to be concerned. It is not the informed person that one should be afraid of.

So your logic is skewed Clinton.

There seems to be a knee-jerk reaction of considering all gun owners to be gun nuts or gun lovers, or to have a deranged fetish about them. Sloppy thinking. Very sloppy, and fueled more by emotion than by reason, it'd seem.

:hehe:

But a bit unfair, as others have said... I quite like guns and shooting, and support the right of people to own rifles and shotguns, as long as they are kept secure, and used for legitimate purposes. IMO, handguns are best kept securely at a pistol club safe-room, as is the system here...

I just think that there seems to be a somewhat excessive number of handguns floating around in the US, with too many in the hands of people whose mental stability may be questionable...
