Lets hope their preparations are sufficient for this. Seems like it's hitting pretty much everything major along the coast quite badly :(
In the best laid plans of history lie the ruins of the past
And a chronicle of suffering shows the mythic pall they cast
To believe is true religion, but to see is truth at last
Oh no, too late to hold a trial, time doesn't wait for the watchmaker's dial

Something that close to Japan - very little time to prepare there. The videos repeating on the BBC just now are showing the front of the wave just slicing through low-lying villages and washing everything away. The worst is watching the traffic trying to get away from the wavefront, but it's just going too fast.

We have a whirlpool. Any explanation apart from a growing CERN black hole in the centre of the planet?

Waiting for the "Thank God is wasn't worse!" before I make3 an appearance. Anyway, NHK has asked for a 3-hour lead time before I attack any Japanese city. They need to get a beautiful but helpless female reporter in place and make sure the gruff but honest secret agent is asleep so the tension will be build up nicely.

It's all about rating, you know.
