Atheists - keep an open mind..if you can!

Post by Rum » Thu Feb 24, 2011 9:17 pm

I like to think that all my opinions are provisional. If something compelling comes along I like to consider it and adjust my world view accordingly if I have to. It was with this in mind that when I went to the library yesterday, along with two novels (one based on cyber games and the other on genetically modified monsters!) I took out a book called 'Letters to a non-believer' by Thomas Crean, who happens to be a monk. He wrote a book called 'A Catholic replies to Professor Dawkins', so I thought I would give it a whirl.

In chapter two he assumes that 'non-believers' will at least agree that there is such a thing as the 'soul'.

Closed the book at that point. :nono:

He's angry at his dogs. That's different.

My hex-wife was willing to debate the existence of god with me. But first she wanted me to concede that he existed.

That's true. Dogs can actually inflict their wrath on you...
