Could the Nazis ever return?

The National Socialism thread got me thinking: suppose the conditions were so, and the horrors of the past forgotten; could Nazism have a resurgence? Cults and religious sects occasionally arise from complete dormancy, so why couldn't fascism? It would only take one country, one charismatic figurehead and many enthusiastic neo-Nazis to manifest a modern Nazi state.

If such a regime existed in the future, and had a greater 'liberalism' and the 'progression' of the human race at the core of its policy, would you support it?

I suspect not in quite the same form. But there are loads of examples of totalitarianism of course. Imagine a victorious Iranian state trying to invade and impose Islamic theocracy on all its neighbours with nuclear weapons to back it up..

I would vote (maybe only once ) for a Party that was a lot more Nationalist (about both protecting and enhancing Britains self interests - i.e. if invading somewhere make sure we come back with more cash than it cost ) and a bit more socialist (on spreading the money) amongst the masses.

To be blunt am very tired of those who think I should be paying for the Rest of the World, whether by cheques sent overseas or in cash as and when they get off the banana-jet over here. and I am a supporter of immigration!

Humans being humans, such humans still exist and if any of them are ambitious enough and charasmatic enough and have resources enough, of course but under a different name. And it isn't so much that such people exist, it's that the general populace are so fucking gullible and easily swayed.
