Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad attacked Barack Obama on Friday, saying the American president "doesn't even know how to spell his own name properly."

During a visit to Bushehr ahead of a scheduled rally in support of his regime, the Iranian leader said, "Obama wants to rule the world, but he can't even control his own emotions."

Unless it's a new baba ganouche or hummus dish, there's not much of a chance of that, I think.

Doesn't matter what any of us thinks. Our positive or negative assessment makes no nevermind.

Although the glass is not half empty. It's twice as big as it should be.

Now THAT'S taunting.

Food prices are the forcing dynamic but you wouldn't know it from the news. This is all predictable. The instability will eventually turn to chaos with so many hungry youthful populations....then the oil will slow or even stop flowing towards the west altogether. Then you'll have the same thing throughout the industrial world, along with hyper-inflation and a collapse in world trade. Finally harvests will fail in the big fields because of a lack of petrol for the farm machinary. Then sometime in the next two or three years the full scale of the Malthusian die-off will emerge....industrial civilization will be disappear and the few scattered survivors will be back in the stone-age. (without any mammoths to eat)

I've been seeing some good analysis of food pricing trends at work. I don't know if the word Malthusian is warranted, by a certain amount of shit is hitting the fan...
;)

People lie with numbers when there's a catastrophic risk. We are inside a stock market bubble like the one before 2008 you realise?

The stock market alone indicates nothing. The bubbles that burst were in the housing and financial services sectors, etc. There are always bubbles of some kind and size.
