tl/dr got a short version for the WoT averse?
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

Code: Select all

// Replaces with spaces the braces in cases where braces in places cause stasis
   $str = str_replace(array("\{","\}")," ",$str);

Personal and intrusive question #1

The dog in your avatar, what is his or her name?
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

Seth, I think you'll get along just fine here
(this is coming from someone who from the little bit I have read is on the opposite ends of ideals as you, i.e. I would best be described as a bleeding heart. But I stay in the pub so it doesn't really matter).

The ONLY thing that would get you warnings (and if you continued, suspension) is personal attacks, and that's not a disguise for something vague, that means genuine, one on one personal attacks, i.e: "well, you're wrong because you are a retarded cunt and I hate you." :pardon:

But the question on everyone's minds is this:

Bacon or cheese?

Or both?!

Hi Seth. I remember your avatar from RDF.

And on derails, Ratz have a tendency to derail most things (it's built into the fabric of the Ratziverse), but much less so in the "serious" areas of the forum, where derails can and are split off if necessary.)

My synapses can only come up with a memory of his avatar at RDF and an association of that avatar with some very detailed, intense discussions. Discussions of what, I can't recall.

I think (as someone with no prior memories of though the name as infamous in my brain...) it's best to let Seth start off fresh here without the need for a history lesson. He's a real person, so I don't know any reason we wouldn't give him that chance :)

I just took a look at the sign up details, and the the IP and it isn't anyone already here.

My sense of humor (keep your fricking unnecessary extra 'u's out of perfectly fine english words) seems to be completely passing you by. :sigh:

I have never heard of him before but turning up with a WoT agenda of how things are going to be has instantly put my back up :ddpan:

Hello, Seth. I can see that since there was a discussion about you even before you joined you felt the need to explain yourself. That's fine. It was a bit too long to read, though, so I'll save it for later and just treat you like I treat anyone

And I can read through it later. Have a nice time =)

Well. I actually read it just after posting this. I'm very curious. I thought the language about expecting and demanding sounded a bit " :? " as people are all different, but the post in general made good sense to me
