Re: McDonald's Day 1
Re-reading that Carnivale writeboard, the Cult wasted a shitload of time and effort in chasing down an enemy who simply wasn't there!
I'm concerned in case we do the same here. If there's no scum team, then who's the enemy?
As Mantis points out, if Aza wasn't actively working against Town, then maybe his lynch wasn't so good a choice...
Could we have pro-Town and anti-Town indies? Or do they choose their own side, like Oblivion doing the Noble Savage bit in the last game?

I think I'm still going to play as if there is a team of linked up scum. There's got to be at least some people who are working together.

So, you reckon we should play it as business as usual, Mantis? Scum-hunting as normal.
Good.
Now that I can get my head around.
Re: McDonald's Day 1
yeah i don't this game will be like carnivale. the indies won't be a team. they won't know who the other indies are or share a win conditon.
I'm back on my phone so apologies for any typos the next few hours.

Re: McDonald's Day 1
Hold on, did I miss something. Since when was viewing Feck a waste? I don't remember him doing anything to clear him as town and the fact that Mantis is backing him up is odd.
Oblivion, I'm well aware of how my game so far can seem scummish so it wasn't a bad move to Fos me, all I can say is that I am town, not an indie or scum. I'm also not really into this game just now because I have other stuff to do, again, feel free to lynch me but just remember this game in the future.
Another thing, doesn't the name Indie stand for independent? How could you have a team of those?
Will be interesting to see if there is a NK or not too, or even a few of them if there's a bunch of vigs / sk out there.

Re: McDonald's Day 1
indies are by design pro-themselves. they team up with town or scum when it is in their interest and that is dependent on their win condition. their win conditions probably prevent them from cooperating with each other for long.Mantisdreamz wrote:I was just trying to figure out the same thing. Whether it was good or bad to kill Aza.Callan wrote:Basically, my question boils down to: are the indies the bad guys or not?
Because in Zig's post - it says:
Azathoth was Wendy's!
Certainly, that must mean that Aza was working against McDonald's. But, no.
Aza was Indy.
So he wasn't working against McDonald's? He was good for us???

Re: McDonald's Day 1
Hokay, so-
re-reading the story so far...
Feck was pretty weird at the start of Day One - voted himself for Mayor, and achieved his goal, too.
Has since calmed down, but is making a helluva lot of noise about how very very Town he is, which is most unusual for him.
Higgs - you're ever so quiet. Usually your insights are so helpful.
I've seen Mono and Gib here reading since the Nightfall post, but they have scuttled away again with no input. To a writeboard, maybe?
And DP - I still think he's pulling some evil stunt with this Miller shit, and so did Azathoth. Even if we do believe that he's a Miller - and that's a big IF - then he's still uncleared, and by definition, unclearable. Either way, he's too damn dangerous to keep around.
It was irre who mentioned that Miller is a Town liability, and that's putting it kindly. The only people who get any fun out of Miller roles are the GMs who assign them. Zigmen, you wicked person.

Re: McDonald's Day 1
i would like to see feck viewed. but there are a buncha people I'd like viewed.
I'm a bit grumpy with Mono. Am I correct? two posts? one asking us not to kill him and one griping about the thread length? if so that's one of the least substantive game days I have ever seen, short of a complete no show.

Two posts PLUS showing up to read after Nightfall but failing to give us the benefit of his wisdom.oblivion wrote: I'm a bit grumpy with Mono. I could run with the no-show option if it were not that the reading without posting looks distinctly dodgy.

Don't know, I took a read through the posts last night, and I just didn't see his as being dodgy. That's the way I see it though. Not saying that he shouldn't be viewed. The Curious Squid wrote:Hold on, did I miss something. Since when was viewing Feck a waste? Re: McDonald's Day 1
Viewing the Mayor is usual, no?
I'd guess that goes double if he's voted himself into the position!

I'll flip town and then even if the seer tells everyone I'm town you will start thinking I'm the Don mehCallan wrote:Viewing the Mayor is usual, no?

What's your win condition Callan ?

Give me the wine , I don't need the bread
Re: McDonald's Day 1
Well, in a game with so many variables, the value of any kind of view seems pretty negligible, doesn't it?Feck wrote:I'll flip town and then even if the seer tells everyone I'm town you will start thinking I'm the Don mehCallan wrote:Viewing the Mayor is usual, no?

Why are you so interested in win conditions, Feck? You wouldn't be special hunting, would you?
