OK. It was oblivion. She views as indie. You were not to know she was a noble savage. As a SK, she'd need to act pro-town in the thread to survive, so it doesn't hold that you sit back and watch. You said you would leave a trail of crumbs overnight, so I guess that's something. But, I had a major problem with that aspect of the SK/Seer story that you were both telling on day 3.Magicziggy wrote:Sooo, I kept the seer view of Oblivion from night 1 until Day 3.
Irre pulled me up on it continually.

Re: Monopoly Final Results
I knew that if I had finessed some of my role I could have prevented some town suspicions. But, the only thing I wasn't willing to share was the positions on the board that gave me immunity: the railroads (which everyone could guess) and the jail and go to jail corners, which I was really hoping to roll on night 3.

I figured the best way for her to act protown was to find scum. I gave her a day to find one. If it was looking dodgy, I always had the option to out her. I liked the way she was probing players and I stand by not outing her.

Plus I had no idea she would out.
For me it was a question of when I would out her, not whether.

Re: Monopoly Final Results
higgs it was the last change of mind to switch the vote to you. At the time, I thought it would be better to have you out then Nelli, (since you voted for 2 scum) and since I thought Nelli could have looked like potential scum. I tried to make it look like I was unsure about the both of you.higgs2 wrote:Hey guys my two votes before scumbag gib murdered me were mantis and squid! Maybe my game is coming back.
too soon to tell for sure.
MZ, I think it was interesting that you didn't out Oblivion right away. I guess it worked out that you did that. Just went by your gut instead - to see if she looked like she was playing for town.
Ob, your kill on gib was what I think really made the game. I didn't see that coming at all. I thought his post's looked pretty townish. But, I was looking at it from a different perspective. If only you had chose someone else, it might have worked out differently.
Re: Monopoly Final Results
There were a lot of if onlys in this game from my perspective. starting with "if only I'd stuck to my guns and got you lynched on day 1". If I had been town, I would not have backed down.

I pegged you and MZ as town on day 1 (though I doubted you again on day 3). If either of you had been receptive, I would have gone for it, but I had to know that there were town players who'd agree.

Re: Monopoly Final Results
To tell you the truth though - I really did think it was odd. I'm pretty sure I would have done the exact same thing if I were town. I usually come in and pick a mayor on a whim. And there was no lying when I gave my reasons for voting Aza -- that I wanted to give him an extra bit of responsibility and role in the game since he's GM'd quite a few for us.oblivion wrote:There were a lot of if onlys in this game from my perspective. starting with "if only I'd stuck to my guns and got you lynched on day 1". Probably should change that picking a mayor on a whim thing though... for future games.

We argued all of day 1.. I was joking about not arguing with it.oblivion wrote:watirretating wrote:You'd have got no argument from meoblivion wrote:There were a lot of if onlys in this game from my perspective. starting with "if only I'd stuck to my guns and got you lynched on day 1". And yes, mantis, I thought how you reacted was fine (because I'd have reacted the same).. I'm going to take mayor voting more seriously in future, too
Re: Monopoly Final Results
the vote itself was the first thing. your reaction bothered me a little, but (once again) because MZ and Irre bought your explanation, including the tone of it, I backed off.
I am shit at reading you. That's gotta change.

Well like you said- you got it right the first time with your hunch.oblivion wrote:the vote itself was the first thing. your reaction bothered me a little, but (once gain) because MZ and Irre bought your explanation, including the tone of it, I backed off.

It was funny to watch you and Irre go back and forth. Irre, you're very good at bluffing. But I think you tend to talk more when you are town. And you 2 really seemed to be sniffing each other out. I'd hate to see the both of you being on a scum team together. You could put on a whole show, and it would still look townish.
But the Mono kill -- I guess that was just a spur of the moment choice. If he were kept alive, we would have lynched him right away I think -- and the day thread, wouldn't have been so long in content. Can't believe we got up to about 20 pages on day 2 !
And I was almost wondering, Ob - if I should have not killed you last night, because there's the chance that you could have killed another town for us the following night. But, I think it was pretty much game over anyway.
