Inception

Post by cowiz » Sun Jan 16, 2011 1:12 pm

I watched it again last night and it really is a splendiferous movie.

Anyway, I just have one question. What the fuck is all that about then?
It's a piece of piss to be cowiz, but it's not cowiz to be a piece of piss. Or something like that.

Not sure what it was all about, but it was definitely one of the movies I've ever seen!

It was about an inception.

I think I must be the only who was underwhelmed by this film :(
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

You too? People kept saying it was very complex. It wasn't. Also, the acting wasn't all that great, I didn't give two shits about the characters, and I don't know if it could be attributed to the directing or what but some parts of the movie actually felt embarrassingly amateurish to me. Overall I thought the film was enjoyable enough I suppose, but entirely forgettable.

I actually really liked it, I didn't think it was complicated and it does have plot holes, lots and lots of plot holes but it was well made, well directed and well acted in my opinion.

It's a gimmick movie, which means that you can't trust any part of the story nor any of the characters to be true. Which means zero emotional investment in the story because the rug can and will be pulled out from under you at any given moment. This type of movie is entirely dependent on the gimmick and special effects. Bleah. I'm glad I only paid a buck to see it.

I stopped watching it after an hour. Stuff kept blowing up for no reason.

Is it any good? Maybe I'll try again one day.

I didn't see it coming until nearly the end, but that pissed me off. I spent the last 10 or so minutes thinking "You better not end it that way, you better not end it that way." ;ob;

The movie was still enjoyable though.

First, it was binary solution if they didn't throw in a surprise of some kind. Either he is or he isn't. IF he isn't, then he if fine. IF he is, then it's "spooky". Easy call on what Hollyweird would choose.

So, you saw it as a definitive ending? I thought they left it ambiguous. It seemed that in the split second before the cut away, it was starting to topple. Could have been my imagination though. Or, it was exactly what was intended.
