makes no difference anyway it was a 3 way tie at 2 votes for M charlou and higgs even if it was counted and M got there first

M was the tracker/vigilante. She could choose one of the roles and was tied to it for the full game.

If M was tracker and pinged at Charlou (day1) and then didn't trust DP (day2) that could be very revealing, though...

Day one wouldn't count because the night moves are for the next day, and I didn't see anything about day zero night moves. But that's a good point. What do you think I could mean?

Re: Hide and Seek Day 2
If M was tracker and investigated DP on the first night, she could have got info on his moves. And hence not trust him... With regards to day1 and Charlou - you're probably right. I was unsure if tracker was a day/night role, but its night, so Charlou isn't looking that suss from M's point of view but DP is (providing she was tracker, not vigilante). It didn't say if Denny had been killed by mafia/tracker merely that he lies dead. So theoretically M (if vigilante) could have shot him during the night and the mafia tried to whack an immune player. Not likely but not impossible.

Re: Hide and Seek Day 2
Oh, that makes it tricky.
I have one piece of advice.
Jynx get off my back and do some scum hunting.
I sincerely believe you are town again, but you are not pulling your weight.
Hmmm...I don't think M can be blamed as a noob. Shit happens.
There wasn't much discussion today. And I don't think everyone voted.
Squid, you condemmed M for using "ping". I found that secondary to the fact she was not asking questions and only giving fairly neutral repsonses. On reflection I guess she was finding her feet. As before, we'll need to look at her interactions with the knowledge as was town.
I'd like gib to explain the late vote on Higgs.
Nellikin, there are no friends in mafia. Only team mates. I'll say it again. I was calling it as I see it. I like to state openly if I find a player town or scum. It is not a case of befriending. It informs others what I am thinking. It leaves a trail of evidence for others to follow up on.
ATM, I'm having trouble with everyone except Jynx and Nelli. Which kind of narrows it down a bit. However, the longer Jynx keeps this up, the more and more suss he looks to me. Having a single thought based on nothing is next to useless. It's possible he is trading on past performance and he knows damn well that I'll highlight that because I've been his staunchest supporter when he's done it before. I now know how Ghat felt in Carnivale.
I shall come back and do some re-reading later. With three town players down and two specials, we're on the ropes.
We have to get the next one right. But I've seen it done from this position before. One falls, the rest topple like dominoes.

Re: Hide and Seek Day 2
This is the post where M used 'ping' http://www.rationalia.com/forum/viewtop ... ng#p730247 :nellikin wrote:If M was tracker and pinged at Charlou (day1) and then didn't trust DP (day2) that could be very revealing, though...
It was after day one's nightfall and was directed at squid, not me. Denny was the first person to question M's level of experience following this post.M wrote:Ping. The Curious Squid wrote:Just watch out for people trying to gain your trust by being helpful, M, It could be a trick (That is if you're not scum yourselfM wrote:I am indeed grateful for the courtesies I have been afforded. The Curious Squid wrote:I didn't realise this was going to start as soon.
Good to see that everyone's in full paranoia mode already
Charlou, you weren't that helpful when it was my first game)
TRUST NO ONE!!!!
I guess we're assuming that M chose to be a tracker as there was only one nightkill on night one? There are other possible reasons for why there was only one kill, of course. There may be a blocker role in play.

Re: Hide and Seek Day 2
Sorry Charlou - just rereading thread and picked up on that myself. And M pinged squid at night one, so it's unlikely that the information came from her night action... Makes DP look even more suss.

Indeed. You have picked this up very quickly.nellikin wrote:If M was tracker and investigated DP on the first night, she could have got info on his moves. And hence not trust him... I tried drawing a diagram with arrows of mild fosses between the remaining players over the 2 days. I hoped it woud reveal something. Unfortunately, it's a mess.
Using rough numbers:
Higgs, Charlou and I have the most incoming arrows
DP and Feck are next.
Then Jynx, then Gib
And Nelli and Squid the least.
It means nothing I realise but I thought I was onto something.
I'll keep it going though and see if it does in fact have any merit at the end of the game.

Re: Hide and Seek Day 2
So I think DP looks really suss on account of M.M's ping at Squid is iffy to me. And MZ - you still aren't clear by my books. Being very friendly and seem genuinely town oriented but I still recall the defence of Charlou and seemingly the two of you swapping friendship roles when I pointed this out. Still, at the moment you're more likely town than not. Jynx still looks good to me. My gut tells me squid is iffy but that's cause of the seemingly random DP vote day 1, which makes no sense to me, except as scum trying to establish a mutual lack of friendship with another scummy player. Very long-shot there, I must admit. The others, well who knows...
