Higgs is looking particularly bad at this point to me, as is Charlou and DPs excuse of not realising he'd signed up is iffy too.

I'm getting the impression that Gib is town. Not sure about anyone else yet.

I really don't know who to suspect. Still a bit over my head and I picked wrong yesterday, so apologise to all the town for that.

Jynx seems legit town to me.

Right a brief review of Day 1 with Denny is town glasses on reveals:

Voted Mantis first and had pulled her up about the "I'm town" comment and being wishy washy.

An exchange with M about newness.

Questioning Higgs about online status, plus a Fos on her for overreaction.

Higgs seems a little less aggressive than usual, but I think I might be asking for it by saying that.

Yeah I over reacted. But no one can explain why non-mods were saying that they could see me online - whether Ii actually was or wasn't -- when I was cloaked. And I didn't change my status until this whole kerfuffle.

So after the game is over I do want it looked into, when people don't think I'm making it up.

At this point I don't have an obvious vote. I'd like to know why jynxx fos'd MZ and MZ voted jynx. I found both of them odd day one by their giddy fluff.
Also, nellikin, why does jynx strike you as town?
And squid, any reasons for your opinions.

I voted Jynx for the reason stated at the end of Day 1.

He always latches on.
It's his town game.
I call him on it every game saying it's his town game.
I think he's playing me.
He has to turn his history to his advantage at some point.
I really want to see his reaction, although it'll be a few hours down the track.

It's very possible that he's town, playing the same old game, and being wrong as usual.

Actually - on second thoughts, maybe Magicziggy is scum trying to befriend me because I'm a newby. I didn't follow his logic about Jynx - nothing Jynx posted seemed suss to me - but then again I don't know his normal style. Still, I'll stick with Magicziggy as probably being town.

The only other player apart from Higgs2 to look suspicious to me is Charlou - very helpful to begin with and then silence since.

The follow up looks more thought through. You are right, scum will pull tricks. They know who town are and can suck up to whoever they like. I called your vote the way I saw it.

WRT Jynx. He plays like this. He latches onto a player for no reason whatsoever and calls for them to be lynched. In most cases he's wrong. In some he might be right. He's a tree shaker as town and I think it serves town well. But the flip side of that is that if he's scum, he still has to do it. I can't remember the last time he was scum. I think he might be playing on that.

Just to recap, my vote on Jynx is to see how he reacts.

And your call on Charlou is rich since you have only three posts to your name. We all post when we can.

All I can say is on a refreash, Higgs2 was there. 2 later Higgs2 was gone with no posts.
Seems to me she showed up when called on it.

Who cares anyway? If someone wants to read the thread and have a think before posting, let them. There is no rule saying you have to post every time you click on the thread.

It's not about rules, it's about applying pressure to gauge alignment. If someone is seen viewing the game and not posting, then asking why they're not posting is a valid question and can be answered honestly or dishonestly. When asked why she was looking in and not posting, higgs reply about not being here, then changing it to being hidden and asking why could she be seen by non-mods doesn't look good for her. The dismissal - "Who cares anyway" - looks like you want to protect her.

'Ping' is a mafia term that is picked up on reading it during games ... No-one else used that word so far this game before M did, so M's use of it was worth asking about. If we want to gauge alignment then we should let people answer questions directed to them and not try to answer on their behalf. The question wasn't asking who M's mentor is either, just asking how much experience she's had with this game. Though I can think of a few reasons M would have picked up the term 'ping', I'd like to hear her answer on that question. This is not an FOS on her, just like to get the information from her that was requested.

Mafia's not my first port of call when I'm here. Lot's of other stuff to catch up on ... I don't ignore it, but on the first day or two I tend to spend less time on a game, then as the game progresses and becomes more interesting, I tend to give it more of my time.


A few people have mentioned my helpfulness this game ... two reasons .. 1. I invited nellikin to play so, remembering my first game, I felt a bit responsible for being informative ... 2. I was first to post in the day one thread and didn't want to post
