Just announced and on the BBC today. George Osborne better be right..though I have very little confidence he is..

He always looks as if he is somewhere between angry and having a sulk to me..

I wouldn't put him in charge of collecting fees for Christmas hampers.

Double-dip recession and Ireland-style collapse here we come, woo-hoo!

Better get the "Welcome to the IMF" posters printed...

So, what areas are likely to be worst hit? Are we going to see management levels take a hit? Perish the thought ...

We are. I am a so called 'senior manager'. I am being made redundant. Nine of 35 people at my level in the council will be left. I am currently planning the services that can be delivered in my area of responsibility when I am no longer here. Turkeys planning Christmas.

The services which will be left will be able to deliver perhaps 2/3 of what they used to and will have to skip some stuff that governments in the past considered bottom line and made 'statutory'.

Of the 100 operational staff I do the commissioning for 95 will have jobs.

Mass unemployment, just like the 80s but without the North Sea oil revenues to subsidise it. Fabulous.

It's a Tories wet dream, keeps the oiks desperate.

cut DLA damn those disabled people :lay: parasites the money would be better spent on bonus payments to bankers and allowing multi nationals to not pay any tax . And then if we allows businesses to ignore employment law there will be a large pool of workers who are forced into work by the DWP (because you CANNOT refuse ANY job) and dare not complain about shit work or pay because if you get fired you don't get ANY benefits for 16weeks .And don't be ill and think you are taking anytime off work because they are reducing sick pay entitlement .
Indentured servitude seems a better offer . It's Ok because the Liberals think that a bit of chaos will sort out the gap between public services and what the government is prepared to fund . And if you give in and join the fucking army you are screwed because your equipment is rationed and if you need a helicopter you had better hope the Merkins are around cos we got none ! still at least we might not be so fucking keen to go to war in the future because the value of an aircraft carrier with no fucking planes is laughable .

If the Merkins want to shoot politicians could they please start with ours I can't even afford the train-fare to London .

Almost 100% certain. If one good thing comes out of this it will be renewed antagonism to the worse excesses of capitalism.
