Re: kingmaker day 4

I'm stumped.
I only have Ani cleared, with Oblivion and Mantis provisionally cleared on the basis of executing scum.

Feck, Gib, Mort???

Irre said how Feck was capable of pulling something off as scum. That was what alerted me to her.
Then she denied fossing him when I hadn't actually said she had, just feeding the fos.
She was under pressure at that point. I think we need to look more at Irre and her interactions.
Did she ever call for Mort to be lynched?

I don;t have as much time today to contribute due to other commitments. I'm just leaving myself logged in though.

Re: gib, haven't you noticed him flying off the handle at Ani about fluff in other games.

Indeed.

And he went after me recently in a game at TR. It was a nice bit of sledging.

I guess watch out for misdirection in the night kill. An ex-king kill could take focus off Mort, Gib and Ani. Another kill of someone who hasn't been king could continue that focus and keep heat off the ex-kings.

After a re-read regarding the last NK. The most logical answer to Zigmen is the theory of the assassins trying to be king. Zigmen wasn't a threat to anyone in particular at the moment and was looking mad suspect to boot.

My impression was that it was oblivion who went after Zigmen over that more than anyone yesterday ...

... will reread day one ...
I don't see a post where she changed her POV on gib.
Then it was a mix up and I was thinking of the MZ post. Also, Zigmen was only all over one person consistently, Gib.

Yeah, gib's theory does help make sense of Zigmen's death.

It's always interesting how the threat of an imminent lynching gets the brain cells firing :D

Dah, had a whole reply to this but it disappeared.

Basically, I was wondering if Irre fos'ing Feck would have happened if they were both teammates.

Gib -- looks townish, re his sponanteous replies. Though he was called out on that, and he might have fed on that, and kept up.

Going to look through Irre's responses too

MZ, how is it that you have no idea of Feck's scum game?
Magicziggy wrote:I've no idea about Feck's scum game. Apparently it's good.
He seems genuine to me and I just don't think scum would be ballsy enough to cut Day 1 so short and make such a bold town killing with no reasoning.

Irre's first post yesterday was to remind Mantis of her concerns about gib and tie Mort and Mono together in our minds:
irretating wrote:the WIFOM is strong, yes?

Mantis, you indicated yesterday you'd pressure vote gib didn't you?

Seriously, mono wasted town's time. I really hope mort is not going to do the same.

and now that we know she's scum, this post complaining that scum are killing off people she foses is pretty cute:
irretating wrote:So, oblivion, you are left wondering about me. I'm left wondering about you. At this point I do have to wonder why you are alive (and yes, why I am alive, too). I FoS charlou, then she gets NK'd. I FoS zigmen, then he gets NK'd. It looks to me like scum are doing a WIFOM generation. Someone is laughing their ass off.

Mantis, you'll have to stop being wishy washy today. Please.
these were in reply to me saying I've second guessed my decision to kill denny and not irre:
irretating wrote:I'm wondering whether scum bussed denny.. if I were king today, I'd have an itchy trigger finger, that's for sure.

I'm half serious. If anyone but you (or MZ) had executed denny, I'd have cleared them 100%.
here irre lays out her picks for mantis' execution:
irretating wrote:My top picks are oblivion (sorry but your continued survival and the choices of NK raise serious doubts and if anyone would bus a scum, it'd be her), mort (because she's not actually contributed anything this game) and gib (because maybe zigmen was right about gib after all, now we know zigmen was town.. plus if he had been made king I suspect he'd have taken out gib).

I have blind spots for feck and mantis, because they tend to be wishywashy all the time (sorry, guys)

I think MZ and jynx are town. MZ, because he came to the game late and because he's been the most pro-town player insofar as listening to town before making a decision. Jynx is playing loose, which is his typical town game.
here she pushes Mort into her top spot for execution recommendation:
irretating wrote:Mantis, how long are you going to wait before you execute someone?

My vote right now would be mort, but that's because she's been MIA mostly.

Feck is bloody clever as scum, this is true.
says Jynx is probably town
irretating wrote:
Feck wrote:Without a seer nobody is Cleared , Why would scum kill a king ?

Mantis OB was cutting it fine to get the order in to execute and Jynx reminded her .
I think Jynx is town, but let's face it, reminding oblivion to put the execute order in is not pro-town, as such.. no one knew who she'd execute and the odds favoured it being a townie (apologies to your infallibility, ob :razzle: )
Those aren't all of her posts from today, but it's all the posts where she opined about people's scumminess or townishness.

I dunno. Knowing she was inching up the list of people under consideration for execution, what would she do? fos her teammy? claim they look townish? or ignore them?

I know what my own tendency would be in the midgame if I thought I was vulnerable to lynch or vig kill. I would minimize my comments on any remaining team mates unless they were next up on the chopping block. if the person looked like they were going down, I'd definitely line up to suggest it, but I wouldn't be the first. It looked like the main alternative to irre yesterday was Mort. what would she do to a scummate? throw in on that bandwagon? or distance herself?

I just don't register Feck. He was on a scum team with me once and got lynched day 1.
But his reputation for playing scum is good.
I don't take notes. Just what registers at the time.

Irre's avoidance of gib is leading me that way.
I think the pressure is coming off Mort a bit.

I'm curious about the comment Irre made about Zigmen becoming king and executing Gib. Did Irre just spell out why Zigmen was NK'ed or was that list all town?

I'm not seeing that she avoided him. he was one of her 3 foses yesterday. it's possible at that point that she thought Mort would be the kill, but she was under suspicion.

That said, I personally was a little surprised that as many people thought she was scum as did.

It could have been a very different game if the kingmaker had picked her, given that all the kings have been relatively low on the suspect list so far. i wonder which is cause and which is effect. hat tip to you for not going there.

She competely missed the point about the fact that if the king doesn't execute before the deadline, the king is lynched.
I think we can assume that Ani was onto this. I still think Ani is town.
